I met a lowly beggar man...

I met this lowly beggar man and begging was his game.
Fine words did flow and many did give.
Dressed in rags and a tale of such woe, even Juydas might shed a tear.
What use is dapper to this beggar man, I thought!
What use to feed his family for one day.
What did I give this beggar man I hear you ask?
I gave the beggar man some wisdom, a smile and a kind word.
I gave the beggar man a pick and some sound advice.
To give a man a fish, will feed him for a day.
To teach a man to fish, will feed him for the rest of his life.
Will he heed my words?
I doubt it, for common sense and hard work are the foes of the lazy and the friends of the rich.

Teach a man to play a MMPOG, and you'll never see him again.

My favourite variation is from Terry Pratchetts "Jingo"
" build a man a fire, and he is warm for a night..
set him on fire, and he's warm for the rest of his life.."

The Game masters have asked me to stop playing a beggar since it might upset people. I think this is true so I quiet. I thought it was in place to notice you, Thank you all for youre support, my Family can live in peace now. Varo has let me go, and I now live in a small cottage just outside of Natea. With all the money my children will be save.

Great idea, well played and a real character!
Added something to my game exprience, so thank you for the time you put in to it
I can understand that had this idea continued for too long it would have turned it to an a bad thing. IRL you don't mind giving the price of a cup of tea to someone on the streets, but when you see 20 of the all in a row, the generousity tends to wear thin.
I Hope that beggar is allowed to pop by every now and then.
IC:
Beggar man, now you have found fortune and favour I hope you don't ever forget your beginnings, give some of you new found wealth to the newly arriving refugees and offer shelter to the travellers of Atys. Their needs of shelter from the rain and snow you can satify without cost.
