Is it possible to master crafting Melee Weapons as well as Magical Amps? Or are those two things mutually exclusive?

You can master in any skill tree you want to master in. When you get farther along in levels all the craft branches eventually split into their seperate weapon (i.e. Long Swords, Magic Amps, etc.) and then will split into each races specific weapon (i.e Tryker Long Sword, Fyros Long Sword, etc) and in theory you can master each and every one of these branches given enough time money mats, etc you know how that goes.

This applies to all skills in game

Nothing is exclusive when it comes to learning in game skills. You can do both.

Yeah, this isn't SWG. You can learn whatever your heart desires without any caps or penalties. =D
