Before you reply to this monologue, please consider the following:
Is the post I am going to make a mindless repeating of anything already here, a flame that doesnt add anything or a comment that is merely made to showoff how 7331 you are? If any of the questions above can be answered with "Yes", please move on to another thread where your posts are more appreciated. Thank you for reading.
Okee, for the people who are still reading and apparently have more insanity in their head then a Clopper on madness, welcome.
Something about me before we start, you might understand some of the comments a bit better. I craft heavy Tryker armors, at the moment of writing my vest, sleeves and pants hit lvl150 and can therefore craft ql160 HQ pieces. Not yet all pieces, could as well follow someday.
The digging in Fount was nice enough, although this weekend the Kami anger struck upon the careless ones there. Better you people start using gentle plans and stop blowing up / gassing sources, this might happen again! But I dug a lot, way to much for a small Tryker girl to be really healthy for body and spirit.
The grind of armor pieces was a road to insanity as well, cursing each degrade and fail for the enormous amount of mats they eat for heavy armor. I traveled around Atys, buying armor mats all around the world.
Yes fighters, if you are asking yourself why the last weeks your ql 150 and higher armor mats sold like crazy, that was me in a grinding mood. If I can give you guys a tip: balance it a bit! Check out what type of items are in low supply and kill some or a lot of mobs that give this type of mat.
A hint to the guys with a shorter supply on brain cells: teeth! Timari, Bodoc, Caprini, whatever as long as it says "lining" in the specs.
If you like to kill, what does the animal matter?
*start shouting loudly*
As long as it bleeds! As long as it dies! Death from below! Here come the Tryker!
*calms down a bit again*
Sorry, got carried away a bit there, like to hunt as well, you know.
Anyway, after I spend hours digging, grinding, porting, hunting, begging for mats and protection in hard to harvest area's you can imagine I like a bit of proper cash to refund me on my effort.
There arrives the point of this Tryker's monologue. My pricing.
I craft out of guild, I craft HQ heavy and I dont really mind getting an occasional tell even as I prefer mails. But what disgusts me most are people not willing to pay for quality.
And dont tell me rubbish! "Nah, my guildies can do that much cheaper" or "I dont have that much cash" or even worse: no replies at all after the price is told.
If your guildy can do it cheaper, why are you at my stall? If you dont have that much cash, why are you hunting at the level you need those items? And if you dont have the decency to have a normal conversation, what are you doing in my personal space to begin with?!?
Crafting out of guild for nice quality stuff was promised to be a pain by several crafters. Quite a few stopped making production armors, others only accept mats and a few sell to the stores. So I thought about the amount of effort put into getting the experience to dig and craft. I thought about the people scolding me for not being able to make the nice and special high level armor with überstats. And I promised myself that either the armors I sell are of a good to exceptional quality or are a fun piece to own, like turquoise HQ heavy. So I set a price for quality.
The last week I realized that a price is not only there for quality but trying to buy an armor at Frydeswinde will guarantee you a very unusual treatment. No, I am not rude, just plain crazy.
If you are not willing to pay my price, if you feel in a mood for whining, or have troubles forming a full sentence in the English language: Sod off!
If you can afford yourself a Frydeswinde special, if you dont mind waiting a few days depending on my whims and mostly, if you appreciate quality and exclusiveness as much as I do, feel free to contact me.

Letter to a A.S.T.G.
I have felt your pain and still often suffer flash backs to the misery.
Little things like making three sets of black heavy in the days only the fool hardy went to the roots and being told they could on afford one!
Agreeing a price for an armour, only to be offered 1% of the agreed price on delivery.
Being offered dappers, in the days when the merchants had nothing to buy.
Being told that I am expensive, too slow, make poor quality stuff! I have suffered all these things.
But, I to have had my failings, broken promises (very rare), long delays.
I was one of those who warned you of the pains of crafting.
The pain you suffer, the anger inside you will fade and it will make you stronger.
And be strong, if its possible for their to be evil inside me. It shows only with my craft. I gave to a stranger, an armour that a customer wouldn't pay for. The joy it gave the stranger, gave me joy. The anger moved from me to the non payers face because of this action. A deed is worth more than any angry word. (Its not often I get like this, but my trust in a person, once lost will never return)
Have a short list of those who beg and do not listen, they will learn. Add their friends to it if they try to by pass you safety net.
But know this one thing my suspected sister, the joy and happiness on you customers faces when all goes to plan. These moments out weight any pain of tell or cross word.
The thankyous, the smiles, the words of praise.
I craft for fun now, not for profit. I chose who I have as my customers, not the other way around. They take it or leave it, its the way I have become. I have more important things to worry about now. As for pricing, charge what you think is fair, as I know you do.
No this, crafting never becomes easier. I fact it becomes much harder. Crafting makes you stronger than any fighter, more powerful than any caster, more compasionate that any healer. Crafting is more about the love that goes into the process and the strength of will needed to continue when all around you are having fun and you are rushing to complete an order that gives you no real return.
Be strong, not angry! When your customers become you friends you know you have truely achived.
Love from a brother and fellow maker of things.

To Neun :
Seeing this care and love that dwells so deep within your heart I wish that I too had such a loving person that cared for me.
You give me inspiration!

agreed
we sword crafters are in the same misery: our money bags are empty, peeps nagging about them prices etc etc
generally I ask 250k for an exellent ql200 burning sword. agreed i dig them much faster then u armour guys (takes maybe 5 min in the right season when i can get my exellent big shells)
BUT what peeps dont see is the 100 of millions of dappers i put into grinding them to the level i am. Yoshi borrowed, Yoshi begged, Yoshi digging for others to get the money to buy him grinding mats at 4k!!!! ye thats right 4k/mat bones
so i think those melee artisist must be millionaire, i pay them far more for those bones then they pay me for an exellent sword (can u imagine?)
if i now ask 500k for a supreme ql130 sword peeps have called me a thief BUT (again) i pay 8 - 10k for 1 supreme mat (as i cant dig pr materials) my high ql swords require 33 mats = 330k + tps (numerous) to get to the different diggers and to deliver the stuff.
but lately my costumers i really cant complain bout them though, occasionly one nags about it etc etc and Yoshi gets offended ... dreaming of the day he can put one of those swords where the light ....

Hello my friends, who gathered here at the Fairhaven bar. I see we all share something, be it either the love for crafting, for beautifull words or just the pleasure of good company.
I want you to tell a story of a Fyros homin, who's name I will not disclose as he approached me as a customer. Only very silly homin offend their costumers, I say! This Fyros contacted me as he heard my name as a crafter of Heavy Tryker armor. He desired a set of blue and a set of black, both lacking the helmet for he longed to see his opponent better. The set of black was suppost to be a present for a friend, who had the same preference about helmets. He wanted armor of a level higher then I could do, but agreed upon settling at my highest quality of 160.
Not you all know that I dont mind chatting a bit, as well that clearity is a great virtue in characteristics, besides being kind of course. So you can imagine that I took some precautions before I told him my price. And to you friends, crafters and brother, you who made it here to share a drink, I will tell you the price I asked. First the blue that I though about the hard time digging woods and resin above quality 150 without any dying involved, I thought about the amount of mats the armor would use, about the degrades I still get at occasions and about death by kincher while digging. The armor had to be a proper armor! Not just any piece of Yberwing held together with some Kipee secretion, but proper fighting gear this homin could hunt with for months to come and when he would finally outgrow it and contact me again for a new and higher lvl one, he could still give it to his younger brother to hunt in. I told him an armor like he described to me would cost him 1,6 Million dappers.
Unaware I was that he did not realise any of the things you just heard about durability, about protection, about choice without cheating. I warned him about my price and he assured me he sat down, but still I saw the color run from his face. To get it over with I told him my price for a black armor with the same charasteristics. He fainted. To be really honest, I think 3 Million dappers for a true tailormade FrydeswindeNoir might be a bit on the high side unless one remembers the investment and the fact that I have to buy my Black mats for 5K a piece.
When he woke up he asked me wether he was dreaming. Had he found himself an armorcrafter that was willing to craft him an armor he could not afford? Was this a cruel nightmare? And did he woke up just now in the appartment of a nice Tryker girl that found him on the Fairhaven boardwalks?
At that time my pet Yubo Deppan decided to stick his nose in one of these special places men tend to be carefull with. No, it was real and offering him a package deal that consisted of both sets for 3,5 Million didnt help any. He kept babbling and moaning about being a poor fighter and not having that many dappers.
After assuring him that I am open to haggling I kindly showed him the door and at days like these my thoughts wander to the look on his face as Deppan made his move. I think the Fyros will be back when my experience grew to the heights where I can get him that set he originally asked for. And to tell you the truth, my gathered friends, I think he will faint once again!

Getting a bit drunk at this nice sunny day abroad from my himat ill tell u fellas the story of the waving sword 2 weeks ago i was so proud to make my ql 200 shiny pieces of art. Ive putted my heart and soul in it proud that I was I gave the 1st one away to a friend for free. After this accomplishment I decided to get my money bag a bit up and digged some nice ql200 mats for fellow armour and jewel crafters who were badly in need of materials to keep support or homins. I asked 4,5k/mat for choice materials wich I do know is not cheap. BUT with the thoughts of the cost of those awefull ql200 bones in my head I shivered and realised that I didnt have another choice then asking the price I did.
3 days of digging 18/24 later I was proud to see 20 million dapper in my bags. Then the moment came a fellow homin asked me to make a ql160 waving sword. I was stunned as my burning swords where not shiny enough for him, but I could understand as I prefer the tryker armour myself over the fyros one. I explained him I needed to get the plans for it and the calculation started: 16 * 25sp/clan = 400sp for the ql160 sword + 100sp for the waving part made 500 sp needed to get the sword he wanted.
Yoshi was stunned. The courage was more then below the freeze point, but started grinding jewels anyway to get the necessairy sp. Around 20 million dappers and 4h of straight grinding later I was proud to be able to make my 1st self made high ql shiny awesome waving piece of art. Though I cant dig them lake materials so with 100k left in the purse I needed 9 exellent pr/lake biggies and choice of the rest of the mats. Humping from land to land I met one homin who provided my oath and fiber , was able to buy nodes at high costs at the market and begged for 9 shells. I finished my quest
Asked 400k for the sword invested 20 million in it. Now some homins still wonder why my waving swords are 150k more expensive then my burning

Ah, we share some pain indeed! Here, have another drink and enjoy the sun playing on the water and look over there! A rare sighting indeed, a school of hovering fish!
I remember being short of Skillpoints once, but that was a long time ago. You see, with heavy armor the path to the 100th level is joined. After that, each piece is an object of study and learning.
A homin might be able to craft beautifull sleeves, he is still very clumsy with boots. A lot of time is spend on training each and every individual part.
The good thing is the enormous amount of training one can get. If the stars are right tonight, I can go to Fyros, find a trainer and astonish him that he will be able to teach me to not only armors, but heavy armors as well and then the parts I know best up to the highest quality.
Also there is a lot to learn from boots, helmets and gloves. Likely that knowledge alone will make it possible to learn the Matis way of crafting Heavy Armors as well!
But your mentioning lake materials gets me to an interesting point. Remember I sent you that note about the Fyros materials? I like Fyros Heavy armors, but will have problems delivering quality stuff to my customers as the power of desertdigging is low on me.
Have another drink and enjoy this beautifull afternoon while it lasts, business can be discussed when the sun is down...

Orders another round.
Makes himslef comfortable.
Wonders if making a ql190 Black Hvy is a good idea when drunk.
Thinks, I will be sober by the morning....
Talks a long chug on his drink.
Do you remember the story of the gloves, my friends.
Some nod, well for the new people in town I will tell it again.
There was this very pretty lady, it was a week before her wedding. She was flushed with excitement at her up and comming big day, how could I refuse her simple request.
Well 3 days passed and I busy was busy making armours for my customers, when there was a tap on my shoulder, you still ok for those gloves? was the question. Yes I said, I only need a bit more skill to make the Highest quality gloves in all of Atys, the fyros kind in black.
Well that little bit of skill required to make those gloves happened to be 13 lvls of crafting and my over confidence in my skills was almost my downfall.
It was early in the morning when I started the task, on the very day of the wedding. Silly Neun, one day his luck won't hold. Digging are crafting like a maniac, this was in the days when I was not as skilling in harvesting as I am now. I pulled 1000's upon 1000's of materials out of the ground, crafting like mad, the levels came slowly, everso slowly. Chatting to the bride, all part of the service. I think I help calm her wedding day nevres, by distracting her with a status report on the gloves.
I have do a little forward thinking, I had the materials for the end product already in stock.
Only a few hours to go before the big moment, I was panicing a little but hid it well. I gather a huge stock of materials for the final push to 150 gloves.
Returned to the stables and started the final grind. Counting down the levels to the bride to be 9, 8, 7 ... her excitement grow as my skill increased.
6, 5, 4 ... levels to ... 3, 2 .....
Oh no, the last piece of resin used, .3 of level to go and no resin.
As you have heard mention by my dear sister, resin is more rare in Atys shops than kitin lava is to gather.
Checking Avendale, Thesos, Deave and Min cho I managed to scrap together enough resin or equivelent for 2 more gloves. .1 of a level, just not enough.
15 minutes remained till the wedding would start, I was crushed, I could not let her down. I was desperate, I only need a small amount to complete my task.
I called out across the Lakes, 1 million dapper for a small amount of resin, I asked all at the stables if they had and stocks. No answers came, no one one could help. I task a friend with a bag full of 3 mill dappers to search the lands, I would have paid anything that day for just enough to complete the task.
I visited the Grove, I revisted all the lands, my cry was the same. Deliver to me a stack of resin (fine or basic will do) and I will pay you 2 million dappers on the spot.
Still no offers of exchange.
5 mins to go and I heard the guest had left Yrkanis to travel to the Kami Circle, where the wedding was to be held.
Give up .... the thought crossed my mind, I was exhausted after 8 hrs of grind.
But then a small voice, said, its ok you did you best.
My best pah! I couldn't fail! I wouldn't fail!
There was only one thing left to do, I couldn't buy it for all the dappers in the world, I could go to loria, the time to clear the DP would have been too long.
So, I went to the one place that had the resin I needed.
Enchanted Isle! Did I mention it was winter?
Arh, it was winter and the harvesters amogst you will know, Hunt in the winter and dig in the spring!
Now you see my resin was under this tree. It would be easy for me to dig some you would think. Well, yes, apart from the 10 kinchers that live by this tree. No bear in mind, one death and my quest would be at an end. One explosion would spell doom, and fate the Bride to be married in medium qualiy gloves and have on her day of promises and broken one.
I creeped slowly to the spot, about 6 or 7 metres away from certain death.
Taking my pick in hand I prospected, resin first try.
Waiting till the largest Kincher curled up to rest, I started to dig. 1 piece, 2 pieces, 5 pieces .... 13 pieces. I started the next spot. My luck was holding.
I have enough for 3 crafts.
The kincher awoke and headed straight for me. I ran for the lake.
The kincher, reached me, just as I ducked under the water. I was safe.
Waiting a seconds I returned to the beach. Pick away, glove out, craft, fail, craft, shine. 1 minute till the vows would start.
I traveled to thesos, bought the plan. The second after my training was complete the gloves were made.
I ported to the Kami Circle. and rushed to the gathered crowd.
Push and shoving my way to the front. I saw the priest start to open their mouth. See me they closed it, the 1 extra second I needed.
Passing the gloves to the bride. My promise had be kept.
I recieved thanks that day from many. It was all I had wanted in return for my efforts.
And there ends my happy tale of 1 pair of Fryos Gloves and the happiest lady in Atys that day.

I feel a good trade agreement will take place. No dappers involved just plain exchange of awesome lake and desert materials. As an occasional digger of neuns armours I know most places of red and blue materials as I suspect u will need specific materials just as I do wich can be discussed in a later fase of the agreement. The only question this fyros mayden has what ql does the beautifull tryker dig? Thing yet to be discussed after this joyfull day

Heja, Neun, this story became quite a legend in atys and once again well told indeed. Surely this granted a level up in spiritual strength and sympathy.
My view of the discussion is out of a customers perspective and I appreciate the quality and duration of the armors and weapons you are all talking about. Nevertheless I am sorry to tell that while being a respected melee figthress I am far from rich and have to decline any of your armors dear frydeswinde. There are homins around who do not posses millions of dappers. Dont take it personal when one of these ask for your armor - but quickly withdraws when hearing about their true value.
just my 2 dappers - Vivy
