An interesting inconsistency...

I found this quote "Strange and eerie entities capable of taking on various appearances, the Kamis constitute a major influence on Atys and its habitants. They stand vigil over the plant kingdom and ensure that no one may destabilize the fragile equilibrium of the planet they cherish. " in the kami description and then was like hey wait...

I thought Matis, the people that learned to work with plants, were the ones that support Karavan.

Along those same lines, does anyone think karavan and kami NPCs should ever begin to hate players that ally themselves with the opposition?

Or if thats too strong, I think it would be amazing to see a Kami-Karavan NPC battle. that would be so cool :-D

I think the Karavan perspective of nature is more that of the farmer or herdsman; bending nature to their will, carefully selecting and breeding strains of flora and fauna for the benefit of hominkind and weeding out or exterminating the pests. While the Kami are wild hunter-gatherers; primitive, backwards and uncouth (this does not equate to "cool" :) )

Yeah, if anything the Zoria have most in common with the Kami, due to their tendancy to work with nature rather than the Matis tendancy, as Jamela rightly said, to bend nature to their will.

And about the Karavan/Kami hostility to players who ally themselves with the opposition? I thought they already did that, just not to the point of open hostilities. You can't take missions from them if your fame with them is too low. And I think certain tribes start taking matters into their own hands if you go below -100 fame with them.

There's a trailer video , forgot which one, (think it's this one) that shows 3 different types of Kami lining up together and shooting a spell at a player character - always thought it meant we'd be fighting those things...
