16:15 GMT: logged on.. still wear my focus gear. Curious, no time to change so TPing to fount.
/who shows 15 ppl. approx. 30% unknown names.
Ok, special day after merge.. usually i am alone in fount at this time.
Bag full, back to Windermeer and grinding away the digged mats.. back to fount.
Can not get my mats. depleted. I had never before a depleted source weekdays
I decide to stop harvesting and go check some other places.
Fairhaven , Kami hill and Kipee valley show blue dots. Can not remember the last time seeing blue dots in Kipee valley weekdays...
Jump to dewdrops. /who shows 5 ppl. 5 mintes later i am teamed with two of the new settlers
. While pulling some clopper i see homins come and go, crossing to WoM or just through DD.
Funny thing it is. Atys has changed. Me thinks it will be much more fun. As long as you stay away form my sources

I logged on sometime last night dressed in focus gear. started digging in thesos although it was very busy. Within 5 mins I got a call for a res at thesos springs and I noticed no-one was answering it so I thought I should. I got there ressed 3 americans who we're most polite and grateful then I TP back to thesos.
started diggin on the hill to the east and got probably 20 mats before a hunting team got over-run by varinx and one killed me. I waited for 2500 focus to re-generate and just as it did the same team (obviously decided varinx too hardcore) had a crack at the migrating frahar....... I dunno if they did it on purpose but they pulled slayer frahar and I quickly switched to HP gear to help them with a few nukes.
switched back to focus gear waited for focus to regenerate..........and got another call for res, I aswered it only to find out the person who needed it had been killed by 6 varinx.......who as you know ran straight for me.
to cut a long story short I decided diggin in PR was safer than thesos and TP'd there.
please dont interperet this as a gripe as I had much fun even though I got a whole 20 mats in 2 hours.
the world is much more populated and region chat is much more interesting.

must confirm, as a hardcore thesos digger it is much more fun in thesos atm. i've had 2 straight Days i had to ask but once for a carer. Nice little tryker American girl! Thesos is more then populated these days and I hardly care I find some spots empty. A lot of fun to see peeps tbh. A week ago u had around 10 regulars logging at different times so mostly u had no more then 5 peeps in it.
I got runned over by all u can imagine, ocyx come from all sides varnix hump in. 3+ hunting teams always on
Much fun Id say thx windermeer

Logged in on Kipee Mull south of Zoria. Found I was sat next to a new face. Guess I am not the only one who likes to just sit and drink in the view.
Stranges, no friends I had just not had the chance to meet, in EI.
A few new faces in FH, but hey it was around 11 am BST.
Heard from the regulars that the world was buzzing.
I will not welcome you to 'our' world, I will welcome you to the 'new' world!
to quote a song....
The futures so bright, I think I will have to wear shades!

Was thinking about a thread like this, but two seems enough already.
This morning I logged in for my daily breakfast digging, ported to Fount and dug a bit. There I encountered: 2 Americans, one European and an Aussie. We chatted a bit, some seemed to know me already for some reason. One never heard of me, but he *did* know the YLF
Yesterday in the evening I played for an hour and chatted around a bit. Played some too. Indeed Atys has become more populated and I must say, I like it a lot! Not only for the benefits of more customers for my armors, but mostly for the feeling of a living gameworld.
Something that is said somewhere else already but want to mention it again:
Congratulations to all! Players, devs, QA, CSR, NPC, AFAIK!!1one
I smell an atmosphere on Atys that I havent smelled in a while. It is about braving new frontiers, about kindness and about great battles where hominkind will stand united.
Yeah, I think we all rock so hard it's granite.

Hehe, not saying otherwise but would like to hear an american voice on that
(*hint* *hint*)
Anyways, the pop grothw is none less than amazing, as now it REALLY seems a populated world. As my guild leader was saying yesterday, pray for the situation to keep like this, if only 40% of current population sticks to the game we're business!

Success breeds Success!
Alot of people were drifting away because of low pops. Now we have a 'good' population. New arrivals are much more likely to stay and so the circle of life will continue.
Now would be the best time to have the largest word of mouth advertising campaign!
The game is stable and we have future content, just around the corner.
Ask them and they will come!
Once they are inside the world its so very hard to escape

Are you suggesting we do something to newcomers like the devs did to us trykers?
(Hmmm, never mind the bitterness, its just caused by the will to say something wity)

After spending some time with the twins
i decided to spend some hardcore cash of mine on random stuff, 1hr later after being to every stall on atys i had found i spend 26mill on mats/items/strippers
What a morning of laughter as i ran around atys chatting to new ppl, making some nice contacts and general good fun.
Came on this morning to find my spots hardly touched, good for me as im still not going to run out of mats
, what i did notice was the Kami-T low in dyron after one day, for me not a problem as i have learned not to depend on dyron anymore but for low hp low skill foragers thought it might be a pain and hard to lvl.
Kami-T needs to 1. regen faster or 2. not go down so fast imo
Apart from that lobe the new guilds the new ladys, all in all good move imo
Hope this might be the start of something good and that we can get Outposts soon to see who is really the power of atys right now
All i know is "Guild Wars" should be fun when someone starts one
Cheers
your friendly neighbourhood guardian of atys

Its early morning there
Sure later we will see some comments.
I dont have much fear about those 40%. Those who are playing now are already the hard core.
Lawrence was talking here
http://www.ryzom.com/forum/showthread.p ... ge=4&pp=10
about marketing. Plans to have more contact to gamer magazines and websites like mystics.de. Also that Jolt will try to push Ryzom on their own game websites...
