How about...

Poison Blowdarts (Zorai weapon maybe?)
or Blunderbusses (rubbish range and speed, but quite powerful - Tryker weapon maybe?)
or Bows & arrows of various sizes
or Hand grenades
or Flame throwers (perfect Fyos weapon!)
or Slingshot (a simple ranged weapon that can use stones you pick up from the ground, poor damage and range, but could be used with an "ignore armour" stanza when you get accurate enough?)

a Karavan mechanical Chainsword ( a sword/chainsaw )
a Karavan mechanical Gunblade ( a sword/rifle or spear/rifle )
a Karavan melting spear/sword ( high heat/energy spear/sword )

a Kami enchanted sword that deals also magic damages
a Kami enchanted staff of lighting? That shot lightings ( a "magic" range wpn? )
a Kami enchanted pair of amplifier claws ( nice close combat and magic amplifier property as well? )

Carbine for shooting from Mektoub back.
Tubular flamethrower (Fyros - Fires like an Ocyx)
Poison dart thrower (Matis, strapped to the arm)
Lightning Orb (Zorai - float around you and zaps things as you point at them)
Sonic Lance (Tryker, looks like a rifle with a big flat curved end, high chance of stunning enemies)

Shortswords that can be used paired, somewhere between dagger and 1h sword in effectiveness.

Make living weapons have actual effects.

Grenades.

Spiked shield (Constant minor damage to the enemy, like Armor spines)

Make race wepons like matis living sword do posion dmg fyros buring axe do fire dmg and so on first...

2h staff...one of the most basic and readily available weapons in the enviroment [1 big tree branch lol]...slow speed,high parry,long reach smashing dmg

horsemans mace.....the headcrushers choice, spiked ball attached to the hilt via a chain...makes u think twice bout charging when someone is swinging that thing lol...slow speed,medium reach high crushing dmg

Sai...oriental counterpart of the dagger...inflicts fast piercing damage only [in reality a dagger can cause slashing as well..eg slit ones throat] but has a high parry factor due to its design - fast speed,high parry,close reach piercing dmg

Tower Shield...Larger than large shield...used primarily by bowmen helpers in history to protect themselves and the bowmen to opposing fire...similar but a bit larger to the ancient persian large shield allows for more defence but less mobility - higher parry bonus,bigger penalties

nunchakus ...oriental in origin...nunchakus are two bars chained together [bruce lees weapon of choice] - high speed,close reach crashing dmg

tonfa ...oriental origin as well...tonfa is the typical police baton - low speed,high parry ,close reach smashing dmg

throwing stars/throwing daggers/darts...3 hand propelled ranged weapons...all fast in speed...speed: stars=darts>daggers - dmg: dagger>darts=stars...all inflict low piercing dmg...[nice to be able to use venom on them as well]

bows....low/med/high range [short bow/hunters bow/war bow]...low to med piercing dmg,constant rate of fire @ normal speed,3 arrow shot: fast speed slow reload......[flaming/poison arrow ammo would be nice on top =)]

crossbows....med/high range [crossbow/large crossbow]...med piercing dmg,costant rate of fire slower than the bow but normal...[poison bolts =)]


thats what pops into mind now..i might be back with more lol

I know you guys are just having a bit fo fun, well at least I hope you are, but there is obviously millions of things you could do!!

How about making the Pick so you can throw it and do loads of dmg so no one attacks you when your harvesting. Afterall, the pick is mighter than sword / amps / armor...without it you wouldnt have any of the later!!

different sorts of picks would be nice, maybe race ones, craft option to make them etc

for the rest i'd like to keep it a close combat game and not throw fe bazookas in it lol, keep the mid age character i'd say

Anything that isn't an earth weapon, we've got fairly orgional landscape, races and monsters but we use very standard fantasy/real life weapons and it seems a shame.

edit: there was a concept picture of the Matis King (if i remember corectly) with a sort of energy staff/sword iam thinking more items like that.
