The most obvious implication would be nanotechnology is somehow involved in Ryzom.

Which is always a handy handwave for magick and all manner of other oddness, worked for AO

Speculation: Maybe the Goo is a sort of nanoplague, 'grey goo', only purple and not as effective.

Sounds like a cheap sci-fi plot device

From the Q&A published today:

"Ah ah, good question. I do not want to give too much details here, as this is related to informations the current events are releasing. But I can give you a few hints : the Zorai mask is not an usual mask, it's biological, and related to the nanoseed..."

I nanoseed usually means a very tiny seed, as in microscopic. Now if this holds true and it is indeed a microscopic seed, that means the Zorai must have the technology to view and manipulate such a seed.

Now if this is indeed the case they better have a real damn good explaination becuase it's the Matis who are experts at gene manipulation. Likewise it's the Karavan who would have such technology. Knowing the past record on lore though, they will probably just change the entire story AGAIN.

It actually states that it is 'related' to the nanoseed. Now this could mean many things. 1) seeds DO grow, hence it could have been implamented and grown on our face or whatnot 2) implanted into the zorai by the karavan 3) since it is biological something may have occured in the past where it is now biologically passed on during reproduction.
