Ryzom

I'm going away for about two weeks and need my Ryzom fix while I'm away. The laptop I have available to me has this setup:

P4 1.8 Ghz
256 MBs DDR333
ATI Radeon 9000 w/32 MB video ram

I know this is below the recommend specs (which is 2GHz, 512MB, and 64 MB video). What are my chances of getting Ryzom to run on this box? Just curios if anyone has a similar setup and actually got it to work ok. It's just a loner laptop from work, so I'm not going to buy more memory for it.

You're okay, it will choppy however, probably some bad lag. Its your graphics chip that may ultimately spoil you, I don't think it will run with that chip, not enough memory.

That 256MB is going to make it a pain to play, even if you use MSW98.
Expect choppy graphics due to all the HD swaping needed.

Running on my desktop on
P4 1.4Ghz
256MB RAM
ATI Radeon 9600 256MB

Runs normally fine. Lags in/near towns. Choppy when running from 1 location to another. Otherwise, playable.

Ryzom has been successfully run on a machine with 700mhz, 256 ram, and a 128mb geforce graphics card. There was a good bit of lag, but it was nowhere near unplayable. (My hubby had a *really* old puter before tax time this year )

Lowest config i tested was:
P2-600
256 Ram
GF2 (32) (not MX)

Works normaly. Just need to make all setting to lowest (max polygons/textures/LOD)
