Events Question

What is the procedure for holding an event on this server? Is there someone we need to contact should we want an announcment made? Do you need to have some sort of blessing from someone?
For example if I wanted to hold an event where a bunch of Kami supporters went to wipe out a Karavan NPC camp (like the AntiKamis or the Master of the Goo) what would i need to do?
Also would people be interested in such a thing?

Hello Raynes
Shadowweb is probably the person to get in touch with (our events manager). Otherwise, a number of players will be happy to help out - try Kostika or Zella for example.
And yes, I think with the proper organisation people would be interested in this. I thought about it when these events were happening on Windermeer, and my only reservation is this - as a Zorai who does his digging at Kipee Mull, attacking the Antikami camp would be a very bad idea

There are other camps you can attack. The Black circle is way, way, way out of the way. The Good Heads are also not really near any harvesting spots.

Green Seed also. One of the biggest problems on was finding lower level Karavan Tribes. They are so few.

When making my events, I have always sent a question ticket in to speak to a CSR about a free time and possible CSR support which they normally do

I'm more than willing to help people with events. Just send me a PM here or find me IG once the servers are merged.
Depending on the event, you may want/need CSR support, or you may not. Its really dependant on the event.
So while i'm thinking of it I'm going to make a post of my procedure for when I run events.

After running my Event the other weekend I would have to agree that contacting a CSR is a great idea, they are very willing to help you out and go out of their way to do what they can. I don't know that a spam-advertisement from a CSR of a Karavan wiping party is best though.
2 other notes that are important to the sucess of your event beyond that of the outline that the very fine Kostika has provided.
First, promote your event in-game. I believe many of you prefer to get info in-game. By this I mean you need to spend your time going from region to region promoting your event. Recruit others to promote your event.
Second, similar but not the same. Contact members of other guilds and have them notify of your event on their guild chat and through their common guild communications. Obviously you may not want to advertise your event to a Pro-Karavan guild if you are attacking their friends.
With these 2 additions, you should get a good turnout. A successful event is then in the planners hands.
