Ok I have decided to make this thread, so we can hopefully bring our American friends right up to speed on how we do things here. I can't speak for everyone so anyone who wants to add stuff to this thread is perfectly welcome. However, I shall try to point out a few local things to our new friends who want to know =)

I suppose I should start with a welcome to Arispotle guys! It should hopefully be extra fun having you guys with us.

List of Guilds thread

I have noticed you already have one of these on your forum section, but here is the list to ours: http://ryzom.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10677

Events

Our CSR team, and players run a lot of events, several every week. We have evil characters going around such as the shamon OBA and his servant Wormbreath, along with the twins Candi and Sylph and their master Desann who were casting some sort of super spell on Sunday. We also have generals such as Deamla who appear in town sometimes, and several others I can't remember names of.

Also it appears the Event characters are all in the Guild: Halequins of Atys (sp?). So if you see one you know somethings up :)

Suppose I should go over the events it looks like we have coming up going from our event boards:

8th April: 3rd official fashion show - http://ryzom.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12500
9th April: TNE 1 year birthday events (lots of fun mini events) - http://ryzom.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12876
16th April: Miss World contest - http://ryzom.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12561

Some CSR run events that have been going on for a while:

http://ryzom.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11492
http://ryzom.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12713 <-- Last Sunday's spell event

I have run several events in my time, and find its always best to ticket the CSR team about a good free time to host your event before hand, if you want to ensure getting a free day (as we do have a lot of events and weddings)

CSR team

I can't speak for everyone, but I personally love our CSR team, they are always helpful and whenever I have sent in a ticket I have never had to wait longer than 5-10 minutes for a response.

I know you guys have a lot of respect for your GMs, and I know you may miss them, but you shall still have one of the best support teams I have ever seen over here on Arispotle.

Other points

You guys ride your meks around on the right, in Europe we use the left and right, so a compromise was come up with that everyone rides their meks right down the middle of the road.
If at anytime anyone wants to ask me something, feel free, send a PM or I'm Kibs ingame.
I shall try to keep updating this thread for up to a week or two after the merge actually happens, again if anyone wants to add anything, feel free.

Hi guys! You've likely seen me occasionally poking my nose around your forums.

I think Kibs has covered most of the necessary basics. But if you need anything gimme a yell. I've offered to help before, and by no means is that gonna chance cause we're merging.

Good work Kibs!

Especially your solution of the mektoub-traffic-problem ;)

hmm... Sounds reasonable... maybe...
At sea I'll keep my sterbord to the right ("red, right, returning") and on land I'll likewise stick to the right side. =P

As a member of the Windermeer shard, looking over the list above, I recognised only 1 guild name that is repeated on our shard - Elders of Atys

Hmm... wonder which guild will retain their original name?

So either way, I am running around in my undies. Nice :D

I have little to add to what Kibs says, but that we have *very* little spamming in region, no matter how hard I try. I think homins are trying to tell me something by not replying...

Anyway, you will now also get to know the virtue of the EE server as a trail account server for all European countries. During school holidays the poor english can be quite entertaining :D

Tell me something about your planet if possible, any differences should be ironed out easily.
