In game music and sound.

Hi all.

Is there something wrong, or is there very little in the way of ingame sound?

The game is too quiet IMO. Nice engine, runs smooth, looks good, plays well. But I like decent sound.

The only sound seems to be ambient weather sounds and combat sounds, with mobs making the odd squeak?

When in Barkdell, go to the trainers in the hut, SILENT. Nothing.

Is this a bug, or is the genuinely no sound at all in certain areas?

Other than that, like the look of the game so far.

Even tho I need to re roll to get my char Offensive Magic!!

If I'm not mistaken they will add the the theme music of ryzom in patch one or two.

Do you think they would consider changing the sound for the acid spell....it's absolutely awful - everything else is fine tho, dont really need music that much imo - takes away the atmosphere of the "living" world. Ahh I love the sound of frogs by Still lakes ;)

not much hope for parryin sounds then :{ Find it annoying having to watch for highlighted styles / system messages.

I love the in game ambient sound but would like an option to change the volume of character voices, magic and sound effects separately.

The reason is, I'll be walking along, taking in the scenery, listening to the wind and the bark creaking so I'll turn up the volume. Then I decide to kill something and "HUUU-AAAAARGG!!!", "HUT" etc. and I wonder what the neighbours think I'm doing :)

Hi folks!

Our musicians are currently in the process of completing the SoR soundtrack.
We wanted to make 100% sure the SoR soundtrack really reflects what the Game is about. We decided not to come up with something half-hearted, just to be able to have some music in the game at launch.

You can listen to a preview of the soundtrack here: http://www.ryzom.com/data/music/Saga_of_Ryzom_Theme.mp3
