Help: This harsh winter is disabling our tribes.

Due to the harsh winter in Matis, it has become apparent that our tribes are dwindling due to starvation. As a result the Elders of Natae have spoken to me this morning and enlightened me of the fabled hunts to sustain the tribes in the old lands. After many hours of their stories, they asked me to lead an effort to re-supply our tribes with fresh meat.

The supplies are running low, and the scouts are reporting slim herds. Over the next few days the scouts I have contacted will identify the herds with the greatest population.

As in the old world, our hunters will be partied in groups of 3. We will meet on a fine Matis morning as the sun warms the ground. The elders have prescribed the location for the party to form and be blessed as the entrance to the Matis arena. It is critical to the health of our tribes that we not only provide them the sufficient means to feed themselves but also provide the freshest meat possible. On the morning of the blessing every hunting party will be given the list of animals that have been determined by the scouts to be harvested for the greater good.

I will then provide each hunting party with a desiganted area to deliver your herd to to be slaughtered. All of the animals you are to provide must be alive and of full health for the slaughter of the herd to proceed. I have been blessed with the honor of providing the slaughter and delivery team to feed our many. Upon successful completion of your herding, you will be required to call upon myself to verify your herd and commence the slaughter.

As is the tradition, the successful hunters will be decorated with the spoils of many crafters efforts. In addition each hunter will be provided a token of the gratitude that was parlayed unto me by the elders.

Please come and support your fellow Matisians. May we use the powers of Jena and the knowledge of our elders to sustain our mighty race. Spread the word to your fellow homin, the Matis need your assistance.

OOC:
This hunt will begin at the next sunrise following 4PM Eastern/1PM Pacific time This Saturday 3/26. Please assemble by 3:45 at the Matis Areana entrance, each party leader should /tell me to indicate your participation.

OOC: So we are to taunt them to the appropriate tribes, or what?

IC: That is an interesting idea. I may have to stop by Ykranis(sp?) just to satisfy my intlectual curiosity. My powers of rejuvination would, of course, be at the ready, for Kami- and Karavan- alligned alike. If force of arms have not worked so far, why not try force of compassion. Raynes's heart may be in the right place, but I do not think that things have deteroriated to the point that that type of extremism is necessary, nor to I hope that they ever.
