its friday.. a day soloing at datacenter. So i did a sneak view to another games website

All late news are about top selling rates, additional 3 days free trial and PvP.

Introducing PvP fame. Introducing awards and ladder for PvP. Introducing the upcomming possibility to change server.

Only 0.1% of players can enter highest ranks. Rank you get when collecting positive fame in PvP. Negative fame does not have any effect yet. But this might come when to many PK`ing is around

Is it really that marketing research brings up PvP only ? Like Q3Arena or Wolfenstein ? Is everything else really boring ?

How many of you ppls have been playing PvP arenatype games for years and still want more ?

How many of you would rather like to see features like hanggliding or snowboarding in Ryzom ? Or diving in Tryker ? Or exploring in new lands ?

I like a good fight, i like a heavy invasion or a bloody guild war. But not everyday and i am so desperate to do also things i would like to enjoy in my RL holidays.

*frustrating* Why is it that gameservers always crash. And here ? Only bussiness servers.. and they do not crash. Why is that so ? Whats worng with this world ??

Being able to do things like snowboarding and gliding would be cool. However, you only need to consider this to understand why it won't happen : There have been many games fully devoted to snowboarding, and in all honesty they're quite crap - unless you like the '3000ft air into powerup token into physics defiance' of games like SSX Tricky. For me at least, cruising thru the air at 200ft and 100mph whilst performing 57 tricks in a row just isn't snowboarding...

So the short answer is : If snowboarding games can't perfect snowboarding, what chance does an MMO have?

(For an example of how badly snowboarding blends with a non-related game, try the mini-game in Final Fantasy 7.... painful)

I saw an ingame AVI of another game. There is a knight with sword snowboarding on his shield downhill . That gave me the idea And in WoW there is underwater foraging. That gave me the other idea...

I guess i am just really bored and probably need some holidays. At least from mindbluring digging.

was walking around minding my own business yesterday and saw a kincher at 100m off, 3 seconds later I notices red numbers appear above my head and realized it was behind me.
