That's all I ask, and that's all, I believe, that Ryzom is asking of you.

Not to be rude... but you have three posts to your name, and all of them are from today. You seem to be uhm... rather new to these parts. Many of the complaints that are growing in the forums are things that have been an issue since beta or are things that were promised to be implemented at the beginning of retail. Since you seem to have taken the position of "Nevrax just made the game and needs a little time"... the game has been out for over six months now.

again not to be rude but how high does your post count have to be before your opinions beome viable

I'm not defending the lack of content really, but there is quite alot to do in the game already and I fully believe when they do bring in the outposts some people on these forums are either gonna

1. ***** about how badly implemented they were
2. ***** about the lack of new skill trees
3. ***** about the lack of a new land/race
4. ***** about the lack of children
5. cry about how unblanaced certain things are (I'm guilty of this btw)
6. I'm sure you can think of more

I'm willing to give nevrax a chance simply because I have so much to do already that I dont really care about whats coming next. If your bored spend your resources thinking of ways to improve your immersion with the content you have e.g player run events than whining about what you dont have.

also before you say "Its all on the box so I want it now" .........I know your argument and I think in theory you are correct but we are in a situation where ithe promised content is not there and we're just gonna have to wait, posting in every thread that you would like the content they promised is not changing anything fast, voting with your feet is not going to change anything fast and the content will appear at its designated time no matter how much people whine.

the original posted was wishing for a player centered game where immersion is provided for those who add to the game, I see alot of inventiveness in the forum posters here backed up by some very intellegent insights into what players needs, If some of you could put that mind to work assisting the community I'm sure this game would be even better,

hmmmm I think I'm gonna get flamed now ;) but I didnt intend this post as flame fodder

btw. occasional griping is fully understandable :)

To sum up: What I see here with Ryzom is an opportunity to once again participate in a player-centric game. I've never lasted longer than 8 months in any online game because I get very, very tired of the rinse & repeat grind of most of them. I'm blankly SICK of playing the Ultima Online formula. Heck, Ultima Online was the first game I LEFT because I got bored with it. The latest was Everquest 2, for many of the same reasons. (And the fact that SOE seems to think it's a grand idea to continually nerf the heck out of the game to appease everyone. The latest patch, the reason I finally left altogether, has made it virutally pointless and redundant to play a crafter. <shrug> And so it goes...)

You what is really funny? I've been playing Ryzom for about 6 months and as is comes down to the very thing you are tired of, "the rinse & repeat grind". You don't see this because you are new, but that is all this game is right now. But the really funny part is that I hav recently started EQ2 and finding it has MUCH more that just grinding.

Since we need a subscription to post here, we still are. Perhaps this game will live up to its immense potential.

Lots of things that I could respond to if I cared, but what I will do is suggest you take a look at aelvana's posts since your post has similar overtones. She went from being one of the loudest roleplaying fanbois in game to giving up completely and cancelling her subscription.

Might give you some perspective.

Cheers.

They need to add one thing to make it really easy to get into player immersion.

- Interaction (e.g. lay down, sit on chair, move stuff around).

(and I really could use it for stage acting :D )

i fully agree, most americans DON'T use their imagination and nor can they use it

this game has a lot of potential and there's a lot of stuff to do, which i've found hours of pleasure doing so. guess it comes from the years i spent playing d&d and reading

everyone is taught to think for themselves as long as it's what their friends are doing. it's actually kinda funny and sad at the same time, i laughed when i saw a commercial for wal*mart, talking about how the kids were all independant and thought for themselves and that's why they bought those name brand jeans

i know this game has a lot of potential and more stuff is being added but we just have to be a bit patient unfortunately having parents whining cause their kid isn't getting what he wants and them making sure they don't have to interact with their kids, insert tv and video games as babysitter, we have a generation of kids that act like their parents and whine and complain when they have to think on their own

It doesn't... but when you have three posts that consists of what amounts to:
*Hi I'm new, I haven't talked to many people yet but the game and people seem nice.
*Hi I made this post you should read it
and finally
*You guys are too impatient and should just give nevrax a bit of time to finish the game blahblahblah...

Expect for someone to call you out as being clueless about things. My little pet peeve is ranged... it was in better condition in beta...
