This is specifically for Lyrah the famous explorer,

I saw in one of your previous posts that you mentioned a giant thing that looked like a submarine or space ship. Ever since you mentioned it I've been itching to see it :)

I'm at a high enough level now where exploring isn't insta-death and I'd like to make a trek out with several guildies to see it for myself. If you can offer some directions, or hell, if you're free to be a guide to get us there(we would pay in daps ;D) please let me know.

If its the one I'm thinking of, it is near the north east corner of Windy Gate near Ruins of Leron Workshop.

I will log in, find where it was. I remember it was near a zoneline and near HUGE node farm, including SOME Excellent bark nodes. I am sorry I forget names ALOT. I explore for LOOKS, not for mapping.

And the Submarine COULD be almost anything, I concede that I got ships and boats on the brain about the time my husband hit sea duty and I had to visit him ALOT ON his sub. (long story, his captain thought families were the enemy and that "liberty" AKA time with family OFF the boat was nearly treasonous.)

But I still see a KEEL of a vessel of some sort. I have a Tryker and some have called it "a giant windmill". SO...I spent two hours exploring Tryker lands and looking AT LENGTH (35 minutes at the largest one I found) trying to MAKE the Keel look like a windmill, but I kept finding details on the windmill that the Keel didn't have and details on the Keel that the windmill didn't have. In short, I didn't see the resemblance as much as the lack of one.

I recently figured out the screenshot buttons combo, LOL somehow mine got UNprogrammed. When I turned OFF the sound...to improve FPS(it worked, most of my systems "chewing" was what I think is a drive incompatablity with Ryzom code.), I found that I had NO screenshot buttons. I programmed both of them and got a few of my tracking testing. I will hit the PR on live server and get a few screenies of the KEEL...and include the map and name of the region I found it in.

No, it is definatly a picture of a karavan ship but a primative carving of one into stone. Also it looks alot like a totem/tower to warn or ward of someone or something, who knows as to who built it or why. as for when my guess woulld be right before or right after the kitin were released and homins lost their civilization's past.

Matis - "Do not wander beneath the surface of Atys, you will be in danger of waking the dreaded dragon of the apocalypse."

Tryker - "If you venture down beneath the surface of Atys, be careful not to wake the dreaded dragon of the apocalypse"

Awakening the "dragon of the apocalypse" doesnt necessarily mean kicking some huge beast in the butt.

Activating some large ancient weapon of war (awakening the dragon), in the roots of the planet, with the explosion being the "fire" could destroy the planet...

Very nice Martinr!

I was thinking along the same line. It's common for an advanced culture to use crude metaphors so that the "lesser" ones can understand.

Thank you DT for posting that, makes me want to see it more :) . From Lyrah's original post though it seemed like she was talking about a propeller. Maybe if this thing crashed into the planet it's parts spread across the surface and was then covered by the roots. I have no idea what the insignia means but you seem to be hinting that you do :)

I posted this in another thread but it seemed to have gotten lost in a bunch of posts that occured at the same time:
While we're on the subject of Zorai history can anyone make sense of the following from a short story on the site?

"The first magnificent temple to the glory of Jena and her Kami Guardians was built on the very spot of Cho's enlightenment and grew into Zoran, the ancient capital of the Zorai. "

You can read the whole thing here.

Does that mean the Kami are guardians of Jena as well and just spout a different philosophy as the Karavan? What of Ma-Duk, is it just a different name for Jena? They refer to Ma-Duk as "she" so it's very possible...

Anyone have any ideas?

Not the whole picture, just the little logo or design near the top.

No, the reality is that the makers of this game have changed the story and it now has conflicting information that they are too lazy to explain.
