Hi guys, The Atys Travel Traveling Troupe is well underway in our preliminaries discussions of what we can do and have some working ideas/scripts on the burner.

We need more ideas though, so help us out!

What kind of sketches/plays do you want to see?

Do you rather see lore or non-lore related materials? or both?

Where's the best place in all four civs to put on a show?

Who would attend a show?

What's the best time for a show event?

I would suggest the arena in Matis. It's got the room, it's mob-free, and it's got the advantage of allowing you to perform combat within the context of the play without having to fuss with a formal duel. I'm not saying your play *needs* combat in it, but it's just one more tool in your toolbox if you need it.

I would attend a show for what it's worth.

Evenings are probably best but I have no preference beyond that.

we considered the arena, but we fraid our audiences might start killing each other.

You must be planning some pretty emotional plays. :) Now, I'm really looking forward to it.

/me grabs choice tomato of death :D

Seriously, gl with this I can't wait to attend. Zorai's big stage would probably be an obvious spot, there's also the island with the 3 kami totems in Tryker oh and the big stage in Pyr.

The RP conference in Matis had a great spot with a beautiful view too.

Edit: Woops forgot your other questions
What kind of sketches/plays do you want to see?
Comedies and dramas... but not cheesy ones in both cases.
Do you rather see lore or non-lore related materials? or both?
Don't really have a preference. One thing you should avoid is "in jokes" concerning certain guilds or events that happened months ago that the newer players will have no idea what you're talking about. This is usually a problem in similar things I've seen in Galaxies / EQ / UO. Don't alienate your audience.
Who would attend a show?
Your first show will be important as it will determine who keeps coming back. I'd expect the RPers would come out for this especially but I think everyone will be curious about your first outing.
What's the best time for a show event?
I'd say Sundays around 6 or 7pm but I know people who prefer Saturday afternoons for things like this.

Hiyas Fyrx - here's a site you might find useful. http://euterpe.bobst.nyu.edu/mednar/The blurp from Daily Inbox: This pilot website developed by the faculty and staff of New York University's French Department and Bobst Library presents video clips of medieval narratives in order to illustrate 'how medieval stories can be brought to life in performance for modern audiences, and how performance can be used to teach medieval literature in the classroom.' The video clips available can be selected through the 'drop-down menus' of the 'Performance' including performance descriptors, musical instruments, title, performers, language and other criteria; selections can also be made by 'Original Works,' including title, author, genre, subject, period and language. For added understanding, there is a full catalog record of each clip, the record including details about the performance, plot, performers and production. Teachers using the material in the classroom will want to check out the 'Teaching Tips' but don't dismiss this resource as merely a teaching tool. It brings medieval narratives to life for everyone!

hey, we might make cheese, but it'll be quality cheese ;)

I need server space to upload 2 sample videos I created saiwin. Just so you can see what we can accomplish here. I got sounds, edit, Text and Titles, and subtitles to work. (Thanks a bunch to xenofur for his help on this).
