Since it is not possible to reply to announcements made over in Xavier's Community Liaison Forum , feel free to post any feedback you may have related to this subject in this forum thread.

For your convenience, here's the original announcement:
Lawrence wrote: Xavier has taken the time to answer some of the player questions that came up during Q&A round 1. His extensive list of answers includes questions from all 3 communities.

We, and presumably the other communites, had a lot of questions and there were only a limited number of answers given. So u might have a lot of people who didnt think the right questions were responded to.

So for the next Q&A can we as a community pick 3 or 4 questions from all the suggestions that we would like answered?

Hmmm Im not so sure on this one, because everyone would most likely pick the ones nevrax dont want to release info on yet such as what new areas etc etc.

Maybe if u did a priority list of questions, with a few main, and spares if its decided nevrax cant answer :)

just my 3 dappers :)

Thanks Lawrence :)

They answered what they could and will take their time to answer what they can in the future. Some things have no easy answer and some things have still to be decided on even by the devs.

If you always get "has still to be decided" or "work in progress" that will help nobody. Already the answer that melee will be looked into is opening up more questions than it answers.

I see a big problem with changing basic mechanics of the game this late. It will create other imbalances than exist now. IMHO mechanics should never been changed after release. The first time they changed basic mechanics turned into a disaster (patch1) and i hope they won't repeat it.

As for the other points brought up not much news there. But some of the patches on ATS surely show that they were inspired by subjects brought up in the Q&A. So they listen to the community.

Xavier Antoviaque wrote:"The Deposit Tracking displays the distance to the nearest deposit area containing one or more raw materials (that match the specialization stanzas if you searched for a specific raw material). A deposit area contains a set of row materials. When you begin a "classical" prospection, a random position is calculated, which is dependent of the Distance and Cone Angle stanzas used. It means you may not find the specific raw material you're searching for right from the start, because you have to find the particular places where it is spread.

The Multiple Spot stanza allows to successively calculate different random positions; for each position, you get the raw material corresponding to the random position.

It means also that if you are near a deposit zone, you might make a source appear once, but not get anything the second time you try it."
I think for starters we need a retranslation as maybe its just me but this doesn't make a lot of sense and isn't an 'answer of what they could.'

And unfortunately, this doesn't answer the many, many questions and issues that have been brought up about deposit tracking.

Hehe, I'm an easily pleased warrior, when they added new attack animations I was over the moon :D so to hear that warriors are going to get some more 'lovin' is great news!

Also, the ability to jump? Interesting... I can see this being a very long-term thing though, as right now the entire world (i.e. the targeting system) appears to work in 2 dimensions. You could be standing on top of a 50m cliff, but for targeting purposes you are only 5m away from the mob stood at the bottom looking up at you.

Thanks for your feedback guys, I'll be passing it on and we'll be keeping it in mind for the next round - which by the way, starts right about now. ;)
