game crashes my comp from the patch that resolved the trykar water prob now i crash

as title says i get graphic crash bout 40 minutes into play now it only started after the patch to resolve the trykar water problem
problem is game graphic,s turn to blurred lines an media player in background cuts on/off so i no my processor is tryin to help with problem. the only way i can get the game running is to reset comp. i have a new geforce 6800 ultra (1 week old)
an d/loaded latest drivers for vid card, so lets
see who the computer wiz-kids are
as i aint 1 of them

Do you mean that the screen gets covered in a whole mess of pixellated colour? I've got an ATI and been getting that on and off for a while, but the patch seems to have reduced the frequency of the crashes *touch wood*

no it,s more lines side to side full screen goes lines but they are multi coloured lines

Recognize that. Major GFXcard glitch when heating up, can be either one of these:
- Card busted, get a replacement in guarantee while you can
- Driver misinstalled. Deinstall the drivers with some special tool for that (

- Change from direct4d to openGL or vice versa.
- GPU overheating. Check if fan is working, if case cooling is correct etcetc
- Installed the card yourself? take it out and put it back in, might help to clean contacts...
