Forage & Craft Precision Competition

Post by Takashi »

Attention homins! The time has come for the first Forage Craft competition. This will not be about who can harvest the best or most mats. Nor will it be about who can craft the highest quality. The idea is simple. I will announce at the start of the competition what materials I want, as well as what items I want. Not only that, but they must be of the exact quality I specify. This is a test of precision and speed. You are welcome to work in pairs, but you must sign up as a team(only 2 homins per team) for it to count. You may also work alone, if you prefer it that way. You only have one chance to turn in your items, so make sure you’ve got it right before you do.

This contest will take place this Saturday(March 5th), here is the schedule:

Pyr, outside of Cerakos Gate 2:00pm EST
Fairhaven, stables 3:00pm EST
Yrkanis, outside of north gate, 4:00pm EST
Zora, Southeast entrance, 5:00pm EST

You can sign up in this thread, or at the start of the competition.
See you there!

Just want to be clear on something... Is the idea of this to find particular mats and then craft stuff from those mats? Or is it finding mats and crafting stuff as two seperate things? Also are you going to have different levels of entry? Some for lower level players others for higher level players?

And on a side note, it's good to see an event that isn't about fighting. :)

I hope to design the requests such that the level of the participants will have little impact outside of the personal experience of the players.

The materials that I will ask for must be turned in in addition to the crafted items. You are of course welcome to use extras to craft, but don't craft the ones I ask for!

Hope this helps!

I am in! Yes!

*makes hip thrusting-fists pumping motion*

I will enter solo for now, but I might have a partner joining me later.
In game char name is Fyrx.

Questions:

- What kind of crafting tools do we need to bring?

- what crafting skills are needed?

- Would digging be for regular mats or mission mats?

- How long will the event last (in your approximation)?

- Any rewards?

- Will this event be lore related?

(and thanks so much Takashi in advance for organizing this)

You should bring your Armor and Either Melee or Range(I will offer an option)
- what crafting skills are needed?

level 2 armor and level 2 melee or range weapon crafting
- Would digging be for regular mats or mission mats?

- How long will the event last (in your approximation)?
I'm not sure, hopefully less than an hour for each race, but we'll see. :)
- Any rewards?
There will be some small rewards for the winners.
- Will this event be lore related?
This event will not be lore related. This is purely for fun. :) There will be a lore related event on Sunday though!

Hope this helps.

And so everyone knows. If you can make it to the other lands, you are welcome to participate in as many of the competitions as you would like, although you can only win once. :)
