Bye bye, Synergy

Today was the sad anniversary of the 2nd week of the disappearence of the guild Synergy, due to a crash. We are not the only one to have been affected.
After 2 weeks without internal communication, no real update on repair status or ETA, we "merged" with Aeden Artisans. We will miss our identity, our fame, our guildhall. Synergy is still somewhere in the databases so we can't reform with that name and that would destroy whatever hope we have left of recovering it one day.

We wish to thank The Sacred Order and Ballistic Mystix for their support during this regretful event. And thanks to Aeden Artisans to take us on board.
I won't thank Nevrax however. We tried patience and understanding, to no avail. We would have understood it was not a priority because it affects few players but you could have said it.
We will keep on playing and helping our fellow Trykers and others. But the sky over Fairhaven isn't so blue anymore.

The lack of information on the progress to solving this problem has been deplorable. It is unreasonable to leave a small group of chars in limbo with no attempts to keep them up to date on progress or lack of progress.

I am the Guildleader. I was never contacted at any time by Nevrax. I have spoken with GMs on Klients to ask for information. They have always replied promptly and with courtesy. However, they have been given no information from developers. They are unable to answer simple questions. Have they found the problem ? How many guilds are affected ? Do you have all of my guild members on your list ? What caused this ?

If this was a problem which was going to be put on a back burner, we should have been told this. How can we make decisions if Nevrax is uninterested in giving us information ? I am much more irritated by the communication problems than I am the bug.

This whole deal with the disappering guilds is BS plain and simple. This is NOT good customer relations and I believe it sould be a TOP priority to get them and all other guilds back there name and there halls. Nevrex best get on the keys and get to work on this. If this were to EVER happen to me I would quit this game in a heartbeat. You all that have stuck around threw something like that are allright with me but I could not do it.

Hmm, I like to think of it as an addiction (so does my wife).

Farewell Synergy we had grand times. :( Hope it doesn't happen to anyone else.

Definately another blow by the legendary "Axe to Piss Off Players"
Though i know Nevrax would have fixed this problem if they knew how, just as they fixed Doubletaps rollback problem. It just seems this axe is weilded by some unknown force that has yet to be identified. Im sensing a theme here...

Having been the leader of one of the guilds that was deleted, I can sympathize with what you're going through. It also strikes me as rather odd the way Nevrax decided to deal with the whole issue.
THe crash was not our fault, not anything we could control. And the problem of the guilds disappearing is something that the GMs and Nevrax have acknowledged.
So now that we both see there is a problem, there should be a solution that benfits the party that has been affected.
When Light of Maduk (LoM) disappeared, our guild members decided that waiting was a bad idea and we created OD, since they could give us no ETA on when the problem would be repaired. Looks like we acted in the right manner, considering the problems still exist. While i would love to have all the items/hall we lost, I understand that it might be impossible or not worth Nevrax's attention . If this were true, then the best option for them to do would be to compensate the lost guilds for the cost of a guild, hall, and maybe a few daps for what was in the halls themselves.

While LoM may have jumped the gun in creating OD, other guilds have waited for a solution, but to no avail. This strikes me as wrong. If the problem can't be fixed in a reasonable amount of time, then find another solution! Perhaps instead of attempting to restore the guild, simply allow it to be re-created and compensate those who lost out due to something out of their control.

This is terribly sad...
I'm sorry for all the Synergy memebers who experienced this..

But be strong! Nevrax will probably do something in the near future about this issue. ( But i think they should have already done it... )

I have already posted my thoughts on this issue in a post done in the open forum, so I will keep this one short by simply saying that I am absolutely and astoundingly amazed that Nevrax is treating this so lightly and I along with many others am extremely disappointed in Nevrax for this.

Melodie made an excellent point in a discussion that is what is sad is Synergy has received more help from the players than Nevrax themselves. That's just sad.

I'm sorry to see this happen to a guild like Synergy. I've only been here a short time but I was aware of Synergy's reputation from my first day. In any good guild the name or the extras don't make the guild, it is the people who do.

The fact that Neverask has not done anything, not even reply that something is being done is dishartening to say the least. From their current response, it looks like they decided not to do anything and just let the guilds reform on their own when they get wiped from an technical glitch.

The very least that should of been done is a little communication. Allowing the guild to reform under their old name and paying for a guild hall should be the minimum for a restoration if the data can not be restored in a timely manner.

The Karavan guild, Gladius Jenae, suffered the same fate. Eveyone was kicked from the guild except for myself, possibly only because I didnt log on until after 2 weeks since the problem surfaced. The guild hall, items, and fame is intact however the data is corrupted in a weird way because it still shows the people who were booted as still being in the guild. I currently just have member status so I couldnt reinvite the others or do much of anything.

I agree with the others, it seems that Nevrax is hoping we will just quit griping and form new guilds or merge. I am not sure how difficult it is for them to solve this issue, but I suspect that no one there cares and hopes this just blows over. This is definitely not good for customer relations, I can only imagine the result if this bug was server wide. I am not about to quit over this issue, but I lets just say the techs at Nevrax will not be receiving a hot cocoa sampler box from me this Christmas. grrrr :/
