Ryzom

Seeing as how Nevrax is making Community a big part of this game, I wonder if GM Events are going to be a common sight. Usually in most MMO's, the developers throw out some empty promises of organized events but nothing special really happens.

Will Ryzom be different in this case? Has there been any statements about this subject?

I had fun at the first events held this week (GM visited each race's start islands). I hope to see more in the near future.

I actually found this deep inside the "EVENTS!" sticky, posted by a Community Leader. I guess I just answered my own question

Don't worry, there'll be many more events coming up in the next few months. Stick around the forums and you'll know all about them.

So maybe I should then ask: What can we expect? PvP Tourneys? Organized hunts?

But if I'm watching the forums I can't be playing the game....

Well GM's do announce events in game before they happen. We like it when you're in the game!

I just hope they don't get spammed out by the battle text.

You know if you us the User tab in the various chat window tabs it shows all of the types of texted at once. And the user one once you select the tab if you right click the tab or it might be just to the side while user selected, you can filter out which ever ones you don't want it to show. I.E. system info

Ah cool! Does this mean that the GM Announcements are displayed across all of the chat windows?
