Are there any differences between caster pants and light armor pants?

well.... Caster pants looks like a skirt.... while normal "light pants" make you look like you're about to bust out some McHammer moves........

Personally, even as a male, I like the caster pants. I'm man enough to rock out the skirt.

Also, if you've seen the higher level versions of caster pants I think they look fairly awesome.

Here's a follow up, while we are on topic. As a magic user, do I care about the Q of the armor? I know light armor is still pretty neglegible as it is, but what role does qual. play for us?

IMO it's not incredibly important beyond fashion since mobs will eventually 1-4 hit most casters and light/caster armor is so poor on the protection side of things.

Stat Boni. See light armor as 5 additional jewel hardpoints.

Protection is indeed neglegtable. Still, getting 150 instead of 170 damage form a mob is helping a little bit. Less downtime is less downtime.
