Is it just me that sees a striking similarity between the kitins that inhabits Atys and the Arachnoids from ST? Not to mention the kizoars that is almost a copy of the flying Arachnoid thingie in ST.

gandalf lookalikes
dragons
ogres
trolls
elves...............wait there is they are just called matis
dwarves with beards
silly wizard hats


and other than the kitins most of the other mobs are semi individual - like has anyone seen bolobi before anywhere, they must have been created for a child by one of the devs

hehe - Ryzom has many parallels - I thought the same at my first invasion

I am still convinced however that the Grapics dudes must have done some serious Acid in the 60's or being French (no slur) a large amount of Hash

There is a Dragon but just the one as far as I know. But yeah out of all the mobs there are, and theres a lot, I only really think one or two look like they are from ST. Maybe the SoR and ST artists where inspired by a similar source. But it definitly makes a nice change from all of the above.

But it has never been confirmed the 'The Great Dragon' is a dragon.... it could be anything.

My guess "The Great Dragon" is a BIG karavan ship which's artificial intelligence has gone bezerk, which made the karavan pay a zillion bazillion dappers and some silverweed to the kamis so they would ask Ma-Duk to make a big plant grow around it so it wouldnt cause havoc. The agreement was fulfilled, but now the karavan want the space ship back, while the kami want it to stay put so it doesnt harm anyone.

Hmmm, this unexpectedly makes some sense after all... i must be loosing it

It could be .... or it could be something completely different....I personally will get pleasure in finding out ..... love a good mystery even if its a rehash of a similar story

interesting that the only ships the Karavan have a 'Planet side' craft (largest being the people trasporters from Matis Isle. Most are scout class craft.
