I was looking at the sun in the sky just now and there's a very very faint solar flare/flame kind of effect spreading outward from it. Very faint, just stare at it for a min. Very nice!

O_o i've always been told not to stare at the sun though o_O

In game it is safe, out of game, you are right, don't stare at the REAL sun without the proper photographic filters.

In game, don't stare at the real sun.

Yes there be some nice effects in the sky. Look up at night and sometimes during the day and you'll see shooting stars as well.

Dawn and dusk are very pretty too. Especially as your hacking some Kirostas and Varinx in the background.
