Has any request been made for this? ie focus jewlery has a blue dot, sap green etc so you dont have to i'd the jewlery. or possibly some symbols, not sure what red/green colour blindness does to jewlery colours.
noticed one players stock (whos name i to take) who seems to be making jewlery like so Tryker = focus, matis = sap etc
Very nice

If only I had the craft sp spare to do something like that
But yes, a colour-coding based on the highest boost on an item would be great, instead of having to right-click on everything to find out.

Its not only the craft SP, you have to be able to get the appropriate mats as well in high enough Q.
Since basic/fine jewels degrade a lot faster then choice or better ones only using those is no real option.
I am upping my forest harvest for that (besides something else) so I can at least make 2 diff colored jewels.

I have put a ticket in which "has been passed on to the developers" (arent the all) asking that the top left part of each jewellery icon says 'HP' or 'Focus' etc. So I'm glad someone else sees this as a good idea. I like your coloured blobs idea even better.
While on the subject of colour, wouldn't it be nice if the text '+50 Focus' etc was in the corresponding colour. This applies to armour and weapons too.

Yeah, there are maybe 3-4 of us on the entire server that have taken 3 racial jewelry lines for this specific reason. Unfortunately, it seems all of us have also taken the sublines like earrings up to pay for it...as 25+25+25+40+40+40+40 = 235 sps per 10 levels, or basically 3 of the 6 jewelry lines have to be ground. Call it a competitive advantage - people are quite willing to fork out additional bucks so they can figure out what jewelry set does what.
One way around the mats issue is to use PR seeds/amber, but yeah, in general you also need harvesting in a couple realms up.
If they do end up showing what jewelry piece does what without benefit of the color elsewhere I want a respec!

afiak you only have to buy your plans once, not more. But I could be mistaking of course...
And if you have the sp lying around and have one land up to 170, you can spend all you points at once! Use basic or fine in crafting a behold! Different colors

I always use Zorai for health (exc harvest or mob mats for greater durability - though they still wear out too fast) and Matis for focus (basic/fine mats still give a reasonable life span in harvesting). Ive never had anyone ask for either stam or sap boosted

40 sps x 4 = costs of full hp/stam/sap/focus boosts per 10 levels. Although as petej says no one asks for stam boosts alone so after a while (some people like hp/stam boosts combined on armor/weaps) you won't need to buy it anymore. I have sold a good deal of sap jewelry/light armor tho so I can't anticipate freeing up those sps.

I try to keep the sets that I buy from different races purely for sorting them out. I don't care about the colours - think I use Matis/Tryker for focus and Fyros for hp boosts. I can always buy the hp set in the Burning Desert and focus elsewhere but obviously if a single crafter can provide them all then I'll go with them.
With some other indicator like a small icon you'd have to figure out what to do if someone adds e.g. half stam, half hp. Maybe show the majority boost, or maybe people don't make/use mixed boost jewelry (you can mix them I think).

You can mix bonus, but nobody does it. You have 10 slots for jewels and 5 (6) for armor. If you have a set of each bonus you like, you have enough possibilities to combine them to whateven bonus mix you like.
I think a better solution to the whole problem would be a change in the interface that would just pop up an information window each time your mouse cursor moves over an item box in your inventory (or stays there longer then 1 second) and closes that window automatically when the cursor leaves the item box.
