CXan we get a response from moderators on server outage???

Server has been down now for over an hour(est 10:15 pm EST), an explanation or some info would be helpfull.
I am sure many people are waiting to find out if they even get a chance to play tonight.
Lack of communication is unecceptable for an online game community.

you mean the main page saying the server is up doesn't mean its up?

ORRRRR.... INSTALL KLIENTS and find out for yourself what's going on as soon as you can't connect. Much faster than poking around the forums.

The server actually wasn't "down", it was stalled but was open and up, which doesn't do anyone any good
. You will be glad to hear that we are looking into the recent problems with the server and hope to be able to irradicate them soon.

I seriously doubt its the server anyway, I think its the new router.
Firmware on some routers assumes the amount of traffic we produce on the router (being mmo) is actually a DOS attack (denial of service, not disk operating system)
Thus blocks packets, and locks the router.
I have seen this alot on cisco routers, especially the newer ones.
Personally I don't expect it to be fully operational any time soon.
It just boils down to packet flooding and caching.

Heh i can see a lot of invalid DHCP packets floating towards it the router's queue going up and never flushing ..... IOS 12.2

I just logged off Windermeer myself, seems other servers are offline though.
