Ryzom

Since joining the Ravens guild I have never had so much fun playing Ryzom. One of the main reasons is that Kaboom is totally insane and has no fear ! Add people like Sonia, LongBlade, Exiro and the crazy Seren and you have what makes for a totally hilarious adventure.

Not only do we have to deal with trekking through unknown and highly dangerous territory but we have to deal with "Pull" every minute and when Kaboom yells "Incoming" let me be clear it's not a mere 1 mob thats incoming !

Now apart from the obvious bonding that comes of such fun gameplay theres also a darker side to the effects of the game.........<gasp>

and the root of my dilemma:

imagine this:

It's just a regular day at work, I look down at my watch frustratedly noticing its only 9.15am and it's going to be a full 11 hours before I can play again.

The office begins to fill up with people. Here come Cherry and Ying the 2 stunning asian girls I sit opposite. As usual they are laughing and joking and wearing tight tops, while they lean over each other and me to help themselves to my carefully positioned biscuits and fruit.

Now the office stand up starts, it's pretty much the same everyday, people either say 'pass' or their mouths move but I don't comprehend the words - some kind of technical speak?

What? me oh lordy someone asked me a question ! Ok I stammer "I think its ql150", somehow they agree and are satisfied with my response !

Ah now theres tons of work, I'm working working, oh here comes an idiot and he's incompetantly doing everything backwards - "Nooooooooob" I scream, what the hell are you doing you weanling mektoub !

He stares blankly - "what?" he says rather slowly with mouth half open. er nothing I mumble.

I make it to lunch, still looking at my watch - 7 hours to go. Ying bounces over and joins me for lunch, shortly after we are joined by Cherry. Tsk, why aren't they into Ryzom ! My offer of getting naked in the Pyr bathhouse brings a puzzled look and "Where is Pyr?"

The afternoon stretches endlessly on.... I rush to the toilet after drinking too much tea. Yikes there's something wrong i'm discoloured - oh no it's ok I'm only Blue in Ryzom - silly me !

Returning to my desk I sit down. Within 2 minutes theres another fool at my desk asking the wrong questions - "ffs wtf u noooooob" I yell. I hammer my finger on the 2 button "Die Die" I cackle throwing my head back, but he's still standing there, now looking at me rather strangely.

I sigh.....and turn off my screensaver - not even Ying's smile can penetrate my mood.

Suddenly a bell rings. Oh great I fell asleep - it's not a bell it's my phone. It's my gf, she's asking how I am and telling me all the tasks I have to do tonight when I get home !

Oh Now I'm depressed !!! How am I going to get that list done and still manage to get on Ryzom ! I look at my watch out of curiosity, not expecting it to be much after 3pm. Lordy - its hometime !

I leap out of my leather exec armchair tipping papers and stuff all over the floor as I dash for the door, zipping up my laptop in flight.

so now you are probably asking what my dilemma is? Well if you just read that surely it's obvious - now what should I do about it?

Help me out please.......

theres only one dilema i see and thats the 2 birds in yoru office and the gf at home and how we gonna get all 3 together (with you in the middle of course )

Well to start with you haunt the forums refreshing the screen every 3 minutes to check if there are any new posts you haven't read. Then you get really desperate and post a funny story about how your work colleague caught you calling him a suckling yubo under your breath. Thats when you know you got it really bad...

An excellent post, only let down by the lack of screenies of Cherry and Ying

Chuck the job (but stay friends with the girls) You only need a job to buy games, and you already have Ryzom, we have to start a petition to have the Ryzom subscription included in unemployment benefit.

Foreward all your calls.
Say work goes faster when at home

And for crying out loud mate GET MORE GAME TIME

I like the part where Ching and Yang reply to the offer to get naked in the Pyr bathhouse with: "Where is Pyr?" Appearantly the getting naked part is really no biggie. You have a luxury problem man! A gf at home who doesnt respect your Ryzom time, two asian hotties at the office who think it is a good idea to get naked, just the location is debatable and a job where you can yell at people and not get fired at the spot.

And can you tell me what the DIEDIEN00B button is? Instant kill after challenge acceptance macro? What?

2 must be dublle missile plan for i guess shockwave 3 or something like that ;D

would be nice to nuke some peeps at work
