In the Lore of Atys
http://www.ryzom.com/?page=lore_races_tryker_being the Story of being a Tryker says:
What are our goals ?
- build alliances with the Zoraïs
and it also states:
Who are our friends ?
Zoraï : The Zoraïs are not to be trusted, they openly breach Jena Law by venerating the Kamis. What's more, during the Great Swarming in the old lands, the Zoraïs refused to let us through their great wall and let many thousands of Trykers perish in the jaws of the kitins. More recently, it was the Zoraïs who first installed slavery in the new lands.
How are these two statements possible?

I suspect that is a misprint, and that it should say Matis?

That would be about right, lets face it we all know that its heading for a matis/tryker V fyros/zorai showdown in the next few months, as in kami/karavan races.
I think it will be fun as long as we dont see plebs using as an excuse to go round PKing.

it means that they try to become friends with them, but aren't yet

And what would be wrong about PK'ing ?
I *do* hope there will be PKs, and PK guilds, and anti-PK guilds...
That would make for a change from the carebear land, and the xp xp xp xp xp grind grind thingy.

Then they need to do what they have done in WoW and make PvP and PvE servers. Then ppl can decide on what type of server they want to play on, same discussion currently running through my other guild Sons of Temujin about which type of server we play on (which will be PvP).
Im not interested in being attacked and killed by the socially mal-adjusted spotty no friend kids that un-managed PvP can attract, as witnessed in so many other games. I play Ryzom for the foraging and crafting and so will be an easy to kill target, if i want to do PvP ill play CS, Planetside, Joint Ops and WoW which lets face it, is faster action and more fun.

Have hunted and been on trips with many people of different races and made some good freinds but within a content driven event would be quite happy to attempt to murder them and would expect the same from them. However having played UO in the past i hope that a good PvP balance can be found.
I do think however that if we ended up with PK greifer types they would have a hard time as i beleive peeps would team up and hunt them down.
Would be abit ironic to be killed by ammo i supplied to a freind from another race but SoR is about fun for me and so far its been great, more storyline content imo can only add to this.

IC:
Never will I strike down a fellow homin, not Matis, Fyros, Tryker of Zorai! We are one big tribe on this planet, we must unite to fight the kitin and the Karavan and Kami overlords. Am I the only one that realizes that the true thread is not those bugs, but the Outlanders that tell us how to live, how to dig and how to hunt?
I will rather die by a Kitin's strike then live under the heel of the Karavan, dig under the wrath of the Kami.
OOC: we will see what happens and about the striking down, forget I said that if you hamr Yubo's...

Perhaps when these so called "Zones of Conflict" become more important in the grand scheme of things then there will be dapper to be earnt for the enterprising homin. Escorting, guarding, extortion, tolls, assasination, private wars, kidnapping are all services that I hope The Samsara can one day offer.
