Hi all.
(Sorry for my english, i m french

D)
On the french board, due to the lake of content that was supposed to be ingame at realease or in the first patches, we re asking to Nevrax an official communication (due this week) about the scheduling for the main features in Ryzom.
Evaluating the patches that have been applied since September the 16th, we only see that Mounts + Tatoos + Hairdressers were the only "new" features added. Those patches were mainly about bugs fixing and some -harzardous- game balancing. So we re wondering about Nevrax's priorities in term of developments.
We now want to know
when we ll have access in game to
- The Encyclopedia (not the actual fake one with max 10 basic rites)
- The Guildes quests
- Outposts managment
We tired to pay and be asked to keep waiting. We want news about it, with clear
dates.
CSRs make a awesome job, i m pretty sure they re as good in the other communities, but they don t have the answer we need, so we asking Nevrax directly.
Some of us will cancel their subscription, hoping it will add some weight to our request.
Please react, and let us know your feelings

though i agree with you that the major content have been delayed for far too long, i ask you this, how many MMORPGs have actually had everything since day... or since year one in some cases... It's all about money to them you see, they throw out half-as*ed games to sell, and then take their sweet time implementing things... standard in today's MMORPGs

Some things take time. I'm sure they don't have the budget of Blizzard or SOE, nor the same manpower, so it's understandable that things aren't being implemented as soon as we would like. I'm sure the developers are going for quality over quantity, and it's just something we will have to wait through.
I like the game enough to stick around. There's enough to keep my attention and enough for me to work towards. I don't know if threatening the devs is the polite thing to do, though I'm sure that is not your intention. I think a simple letter stating the feelings of the players along with the community's signatures will be enough to get their attention.
Cheers from the U.S.

How's the weather in France?

Take a look at the manual that came with your game, if you can still find it. After reading the manual you'd expect to find at least that stuff in the game, while most of it is, some things are not , ie guild outmost missions.
The original poster isn't referring to stuff that nexvrax has planned for future installation , what is upsetting people is the stuff we were told would be in game AT LAUNCH.

Way back when, the game was supposed to be released half a year earlier than it was. I'd heard somewhere that they eventually had to go live to start generating revenue for their investors. It made perfect sense to me, and it's probably just as simple as this.
I agree though that it would be very nice to hear from Nevrox as much as they can tell us at this time...

Well, much as I agree with your points, I don't think 'striking' is the correct way to get them fixed. Nevrax have done a good job fixing things since release, however there is still a way to go yet. I'd love to see some more content at the moment, but I would also desperately like to see more bugs fixed (for example friend/enemy selection and the dreaded access violation crashes). This is also the dilemma faced by Nevrax - do they fix, or do they add?
Ryzom has so far been gifted with a generally patient community - however, I can sympathise with people wanting information and deadlines from Nevrax, especially if they've been playing since release.
I ask that you don't go too far with cancelling your subscriptions - if there's one thing that will threaten this game's future, it is players cancelling their subs en-masse in the hope of developer action, which causes paranoia with investors.
In the end, if the Dev's don't have any solid time frames, they may have no real information to give you (they are a relatively small team). And, if they start putting dates on releases because they have to to keep people happy, those people will not be happy when a release misses it's intended deadline.

Manuals are printed many weeks even months before the game ships. That is why they got the onlin manual to update...

Very well put IMO...

Such is the way of all MMO's that have not yet gotten a solid foothold. It comes down to patience and how flexible your bank account is
I will play this game until I get to a point where I do not enjoy it on a general scale and at that point I will make my goodbyes and find othere devices to entertain myself with.

To clarify what i was trying to explain : we don t expect Nevrax to deliver all what they promised next week, we just want a statement on when they ll do it, and what are their priorities.
Each days we see players resigning, entire guilds dying. Most of those still online started with the early beta : we all are fans of Atys, but we re worrying about the future.
So we want Nevrax to react and inform us about their scheduling
