what does everyone thinks about the time most events take place

I'd say friday or saturday evenings are the best times for events like the one we had last night. It's after dinner time and people can stay up late. Daytime weekend events wouldn't be so bad either. That way people could go out in the evening and still get involved.

Weekday evening events aren't so good basically because people have to be up in the morning.

Saturday evenings really dont make that much sense as most people who work during the week tend to use their scarce free time to go out and like do stuff. Same pretty much goes for Fridays as well.


So, IMO weekend afternoons or Sunday evenings would be best.

Being in Australia I would love to see 9am GMT as the usual time....


Ideally the best option is day to two day long events that allow all time zones to participate.

I back Serend's opinion. Players living on (almost) the opposite side of the planet (seen from Europe) are not the majority, but there are quite a few. Being in the same situation, I missed almost every event of short duration . Multi-day events are an improvement, but weekend morning (European time) would be optimal.

So far the poll shows that 24% of the players prefer to do events while drunk, after 11pm when the pub landlord has thrown them out

First off, let me say that those in the colonies should be grateful we even let them play a game of European origin.

Seriously though, I reckon the kind of early evening on Saturdays is the best bet as far as catering to the masses, even though it doesn't necessarily suit me. I Have to be at work at 7am on Sunday morning (those games don't test themselves you know) so I really can't stay up too late on Saturdays, but for the most part I think Saturday evenings are best. There always seems to be plenty of people on anyway.
