The advanced test server has now opened its gates to all players who've pre-ordered* The Saga Of Ryzom. The advanced test server allows you to take a sneak peek at upcoming patches and to give feedback on new features before they hit the live servers.

In order to access the server, please follow these instructions:

• Copy your Saga Of Ryzom client to a different directory.

• Open up your test client's "client.cfg" file with notepad and add the following line:

Application = { "ryzom_livetest", "./client_ryzom_rd.exe", "./" };

• Start up the test client and log in normally. Your client will automatically patch to the current test version.

* [size=-3]= For the time being, only players who have entered a valid pre-order code in their account section will be granted access to this server. You will automatically receive access to this server, once you submit your pre-order code. You can enter your pre-order code here: https://secure.nevrax.com/payment_profile/[/size]

Good to see we have a test server. I tried it this morning...Working fine.
It's kinda lonely on the server though...there was no one to be found

How come you have to pre-order... I didn't because I didn't want to pre-order from France. I thought some-one promised me that beta testers would get access to a server like this... >.> btw, I have already tried doing it.

do i have to down-patch my game again inorder to play on public community?

Will one be able to play both on a standard server and the test server with the same account?

Yes, that's why you have to make a copy of your Ryzom install folder, otherwise the patches for the two different servers would clash and cause problems.

You do have to have separate characters on each server, ie you can't use your regular character(s) on the test server.

I pre ordered but according to alapage i wont even get my pre order code for like another 4 week. Guess i wont be on test server ......

Pre-order code is only to do with the armlet, nothing at all to do with your ability to use the test server.

That is not entirely true. First pre order players have access then the rest. Read lawrence post one more time
