CC Question

As usual I think these things up at work and seek a quick answer. Usually because I forget by the time I get home.
Lets say I'm wielding dual daggers. I cast and enchantment on each of them. When I use spell enchantments am I limited to the dagger in my right hand? Does it fire first? or do they fire at the same time? I doubt the third one at all but I'm still curious. Thanks.

When dual wielding, you only can use the enchantment on your right hand.

Yeah why? CC has to be the most useless melee ablity there is.

because the "use enchantment" skill is coded to work on the right hand and they're too lazy to implement it for both hands
also i have to say it is not useless in the least, when compared with a 2hd pike wielding melee of my level i have similar damage per minute output, higher dodge and higher criticals, also i simply miss less

Close combat would be extremely useful if mat drops were affected by attack method as specified in the Manual. The manual states on page 42:
Ryzom English Manual (page 42) wrote:The quality of material recieved while quartering is dependent on the way that the creature was killed. Hand to Hand combat is the most delicate way of slaying a creature and will yeild the highest quality resources, while blowing the target to smithereens using an autolauncher is a good way to guarantee you won't be able to claim anything valuable.
It appears through the test performed by myself and guildmates that in fact his has no impact on the Class (Basic, Fine, Choice, ...) of materials or the Qty or type.
As many of the other homins have noted, very high value mob mats are hard to come by. Even though our ancestors have provided us the knowledge to understand their value, we have yet been able to find a way to reap the beneftis that Atys provides.
Ryzom English Manual (page 42) wrote:Quartering is very important. Not onlycan the meat be sold to the traders in town, but the other materials (like claws, hides, bones, and furs) can be used in the creation of equipment. Because of the difficulty in obtaining some of these resources, they may be very valuable to a craftsman and a wise adventurer will learn to use these resources to trade fr equipment that they need. Remember, equipment created from gathered materials is always better tan tequipment made with the filler that the merchants in town sell.
Although the ability to loot meat has been removed except in the case of a mission, it is still well known throughout Atys that materials from animals provide for weapons of quality and characteristics that are unattainable from harvested materials.
This would be the true value of close combat, as well as specific area targeting (target Quadraped front leg). I would like to see this in place, with mobs dropping mats based on the method used, and higher class for gentler methods used. Why can't a noob get Choice mats from a yubo if we kicks it in the back legs until it is dead?

I agree it's too bad it's doesn't work as they advertise in the manual. This would give a much needed boost to interest in the less popular melee forms. Though if the attack method did work, wouldn't you think that smashing would do the least damage to quartered mats? Tenderizing a mob with a small 1h mace should produce some, albiet bruised, good mats.
