Anyone think it's a little too easy to do? You think they should nerf how mobs aggro others in their path towards you? Just want to get some feedback as I did a study tonight with a few others at TB, and the results were rather shocking...

yes they are :) But seriously, should this be considered HARASSMENT or just part of the game? What if a Bad-Guy type guild comes out, and does nothing but train 10 gingos and 10 gibbies at you and you group? It's sort of like having some PvP fun in Non-PvP designated areas, run around a group of gibbies with your mount, then sail off to the nearest victim... it really deadly...

I always end up training mobs on people when I'm mounted.. mostly cause when I'm mounted I'm normally joy-riding through agro covered areas and there isnt time to avoid people. I do the same a lot when I'm using speed-up to run away from mobs. Its easy to do, but I don't think anything really needs changed.

Edit: I'm pretty sure training mobs onto people on purpose is against the rules.. I'd assume repeat offenders would be punished.

Actually, as long as your radar is active, while your fleeing from potential killing prey, you can see blue dots, so you swing wide from them, there is no need to ride right through them unless you want to intentionally disperse your asailents on others.

Its not technically harassment, its more like greifing, now if you continue to do it over and over and over to the same person, that might be considered harassment.

There is really no way to change wether you can train mobs or not, unless there is agro list on the mob, that has you on the top of it until they leave combat, but, then anyone you passed is on that list, so they will return to them next.

Probably more of a pain to fix, than telling people to avoid blue dots when your joyriding or otherwise.

I dont see a need to nerf it. We have a rather small community. People that do this repeatedly would find themselfs not enjoying the game rather quick I think.

If Im on a mount I dont usualy use Radar as I know where Im going and the mobs I can expect to find there. If someone gets ran over by my aggro I would try and come back and ress them after losing aggro.

This would most likely get the whole guild banned permanently from Ryzom. The PvP areas are set up for anyone who wishes to PvP. The rest of the game area is consensual-only PvP. Training mobs on to players with the intention of getting them killed is considered harassment.

It is most certainly easy to do allright. Choosing not to ride a mount, I am often on the receiving end of this problem but thankfully I can usually deal with the resulting agro and in essence clean up after a careless somebody. Weaker players however may be less than thrilled with this situation when they are traveling on a frequently used pathway, only to be suddenly passed by a mounted character chased by several fiends and find themselves suddenly dead, while the mounted character rides off into the sunset in blissful unawareness of the misery they have just caused to another homin. Mounted characters that choose to stop, deal with the problem they have caused and rez whom they have inadvertantly killed may be forgiven but it is better if the problem did not happen at all. Often it seems that the mounted characters are not even aware that they are being trailed by agro, nor do they watch the radar; they are just in a reckless full steam ahead frame of mind. Mounts are fun, yes, but that is not reason to throw caution to the wind.

It is partly understandable but not entirely unexcusable that mounted characters are loathe to stop to deal with the agro train they typically create. The mounts are so weak and the dismount times are so long that a person would rather keep on riding than dismount and risk the death of themselves or the mob. I think making the mounts stronger and the dismount times near instantaneous would go far in solving this problem. Honestly, I can jump off a horse in about a 1/3 of the time it takes a character to get off a mount. Until this is addressed I am unlikely to be riding a mektoub anytime soon.

that's right... PvP... but see.. it's MOBS killing you no Players... to TRAIN no someone is a bit rediculous i know, but if you just happen to be in an area where there are lots of aggro and then you see a whole pack coming up behind a mount who just past you... well then...

Training people in anyway is wrong. CP guildmate will not be a part of this. Even if the trained person is a karavan it is still wrong.

If anyone has a problem with one of my members training agro on them send me a tell and this matter will be taken care of.

If you wanna train someone be a man/woman and challange them to a duel or head to the PVP areas and go at it.
