I wrote the above post last night at 3:00 am, after the battles were over.
I am 142 2h melee 96 heal. I haven't felt like such a new bee since I started playing. I was about as much help as a level 25 in a team fighting timari in the canyon near Pyr. Just along for the ride.
Then I noticed that there were alot of old guild members there that I thought had left the game. Somona Beech! Where have these guys been fighting and leveling. It hasnt been Fryos. Thats for sure.
I had heard that Fryos is the toughest place to level. Is this true?
I thought it was a bunch of bull till last night.
If these guys and girls hadn't come to our aid Fryos would be lost. There was no way our guild ( Eye of Atys ) and the other guilds that stay in Fryos could have beaten those bosses.
After about the 50th attempt to beat the boss. Some of the wandering Fryos that had come home to fight asked if we were all there was to join them. The answer was YES, we were the weak, the poor, the huddled masses of fryos. The only ones here to fight. The only ones willing to fight. The only ones with nothing to do on Saturday night. A true statment. But if we had every player, that "lives" in fryos, there we would have lost.
Now I would like to thank all that came to our aid. If you had not come to help us we would be sleeping on your couch right now.
After the battle of Fryos. All that had a port went to Zora. There we dispatched there boss in record time. Again I felt pretty useless. But in the end Im glad I was there If for nothing more than to represent our guild.
On a side note I noticed that offencive magic is the best area to train. Their spells were so stong they took out the patrols without trouble (two hits per mob) . They were calling the casters nukers. I can see why. Melee seemed useless.
Any way its over. Im soooooo glad its over. Now I can explore again.

As an Archmge (168 elemental) that a single elite kitin raider was easy to take down in bounty beaches. However, vs an entire patrol it is very hard to survive without using ever power stanza and expensive bomb or richochet spell stanza you have. If you do manage to get the jump on a patrol, they spread a little when they run at you and this will likeley be the cause of your death. You also have no time if they see you first which is more likely the case.
A tank can be spotted, and once swarmed, even without their knowledge, pull off a few circular attacks and cripple the scouting party of all the smaller mobs and allow themselves to focus on the leaders of the party. Tanks will use all the stanzas as wel but I believe they have a higher chance to survive.
As a seasoned adventure who has felt the approach of Ma-Duk's sheltering embrace more than once, I can tell you that no matter what you level it's always good to travel in a group when in dangerous lands!

Cleared Matis first then went to help the Tykers, then went onto Fyros and lastly went to Zorai, good fun, not one wipe out. the patrols were coming fast and we took out wave after wave of kitin. Every body there was a big help alot of healers kept us all up and alot of meatshields stoped the mobs from going after other peeps, while the nukers did what thay did best

Very good work all, and on this one numbers mattered

Agree 100%. Even as a measly level 45 healer, I could still heal about 500HP/spell and felt like I was able to contribute. The comraderie and teamwork were fun.
