Impression on new patch: MUCH BETTER ;)

Just my mpressions so far:
- Mektoub mounts? GREAT, I'm in love with Ambber (my mount) already: it does really rock: good feeling of freedom, riding with the wind in Majestic Gardens . Sometimes one cannot be seen when on the mount but only very rare glitch. Overall, it rocks...
- Appartements from 500 to 2000 bulk (at last ): GREAT, I have been missing a lot of space as a multi crafter and now I can store all weaps n armurs + few rare mats in appartment and make best use of my 3 packers for crafting mats.
- Encyclopedia: Seems good so far from Guildees feedback (haven't tried myself but listened attentivelly on guildees progress). So overall would say GREAT too
- More mats on Medium and High Quality craft compared with standard quality? Fair enough: XP do follow so XP per mats stay exactly the same. Makes Higher Quality items a bit more rare-expensive: I can only say Fair enough... SO GREAT too
One thing which I was awaiting eagerly is solution to EMpty Content of PR sources, haven't checked it yat and No one told me if i t was resolved....
But I keep hope and faith if it is not done yet...

Lil bug in chat window resolved very fast like 1-2 hours after release, well done....

One more thing:
KITIN INVASION:
THANKS SO MUCH: very very good: this is was I call EVENT !!
Having a full region of each land which mobs change completely, stayed in line with events from before (nexus invasion and so on), really good add up...
I loved this event. GRATS n THX Again...
Only one lil thing, after patch, Elite seems not to drop 40 claws anymore but 4 or 5 was I told : this is a bit unfair: even with 40 claws per elite it took me over 3 hours to get 120 primes... I dont want to imagine how long it would take me collecting claws 4 by 4.
So some few things could be improved (very good thread on that already) but overall a good idea
Concerning the Weapons at 120 primes? Great idea:
Those are really good weapons, good reward for long clicking rampage and low hit points make them disappear fast so is fair on crafter too =)

BIG GRATS AND BIG THX OVERALL
I loved this game from the start, have been sometimes a bit disappointed with some new features but I kept hope and what I saw so far on last patch proved me right....
THX and carry on guys

agreed :)

Only a couple of probs with invasion are the token exchange thing which gillest mentioned and I believe the Devs will change it for next time, and also ignorant guards at times, when kitins can be killing people in the middle of the camps with guards wondering round not caring. But I understand they are looking into this bug :)

I agree to you... Gilleste...

BUT...

I am sure... if the exchange... would have been better... (.. like i give you 50 claws... give me 50 tokens... ).... and when the DP would have gone earlier... OR... when we could have more EXP to get ridd of DP.. than this Event would have really rocked...

I say this,.. cos personally i dont mind DP, i get it off within no time,.. but.. the first few days of the event, everyone was @ max DP...and there was no oppurtunity to get ridd of it, on the place where the event took place,..after that the devs changed it to : No DP @ all...and that was better.

Next thing,.. in the beginning the missions texts werebugged,... no one knewwhat to do... the Devs changed it too .. and after that more and more players started to take AGAIN ... ( yes AGAIN )...part of the event.

I remember that we werewith 1 team of dcp al allone in Dyron ( Fyros ) to do the missions... no other guilds in the beginning... after a while more guilds joined us... but we all got bored... cos of the things i said here in this post.

After these changes... DCP was the first guild rdy to battle again... but immediatly we got reinforcements.. from other guilds and ppl,.. cos it was better these 2 days,... i am very sure.. if the devs would have taken 1 more week .. before releasing this event, it would have been even a more succes.

1 Thing i totally agree with you here. I have never expierenced an event like this,.. 7 days or so,... and everythime... new things in forums... etc.
I know this game .. has a lot of potential ... very much... and if the events will be a bit better... ( that the devs will think a bit more about it before implementing.. ).. than this game will even have more to offer...

so Ryzom team keep up the good work... !

mounts are great fun but they arent fast enough to compleatly dodge agro so you waste a mektoub in using a mount, the storage space on them isnt very good either i heard they were half the storage of a normal packer which i thought was reasonable but there only 100 bulk instead of the usuall 500 stick one food in it and its alrdy half full lol

rite missions all seem bugged to me cant do any got told i was given an amber cube by the sage in pyr for the creatures of atys entry but the rite mission stayed incomplete and i havnt been able to find any rite mission givers since

basic punnel pike plan has been missing since the patch and no fix has been done for it yet =/ wouldnt mind if a) i wasnt a pike crafter and b) it wasnt part of a rite mission step mission

changes in the materials used for making items, 20 mats for a basic 2h sword and 33 mats for a high q 2h sword but the stats arent any different now i thought the stats depended on the items in the making of the weapons so with the increase in materials you should get higher stats >.< the exp is better well not really it still gives the right ammount for the ammount of mats used

Only one stat changes that is durability. Very important IMO.

Keep in mind that since more mats are required each mat affects the stats less. They still total up to the same, but this means High Q items also have more Diversity.

I believe it was only the elite kirosta or kipucka that were dropping 40 claws. I'm not sure why exactly, but that's how it worked in BB. We didn't stay to farm to many of them, though I think we problably should have. I was able to solo elites in BB with only one stanza, and the other two elementalists (I'm the baby) were able to kill them without stanzas. With a healer it quick as heck.

I think the Tokens largely discouraged people. Making mobs drop 1-3 claws of different Q for the different level mobs + increasing the claws/token rate of exchange is the only thing I saw needing improvement in the event. More fun killing and less exchanging. I believe the consensus was that the devs did a great job.

I agree there are a few things which need improvement: some players did lose some crafting plans and so on.
Empty sources on PR and Nexus mats have been slightly (only slightly) improve: choice available all the time now but empty content on Supreme occurs much faster now.
I am not hiding the fact that a few things need "ironing" (with all the ironing I suspect Nevrax got a Dry Cleaning comapny too ;) )

What i wanted to point out was the real improvement which occured on release of the last patch, compared to the nearly disastrous release of the previous patches ...
It came to a point where I started dreading the patches.

Someone my confidence was restored and the great new features just make me more patient until the last little glitchs are sorted out :)

I agree with most of the points Gill has made. But I had to add my bit in to just reiterate how incredibly frustating the whole clicking madness was. I'm not sure if the dev's had any idea how stupid the whole system of exchanging claws and tokens was, and I for the life of me cannot imagine what they had in mind when thought of it.

The actual invasion duration was ok, didnt mind the week long thing. but after 2 days of clicking and exchanging I couldnt really be bothered with it. I dont really mind the DP but stupid, mindless clicking to exchange stuff really pissess me off.

Agree with the crafting changes, better q items should take more stuff to make, imo. Should they have better stats though ? Well, imo not necessarily, just because something looks nicer doesn't mean it's better.
