There is no difference between those who cheat and abuse, and those that are curious and want to keep to themselves without disturbing the peace. Sorry Xtarsia. If anyone wants to tinker with game files to make things they have no right to they are breaking the rules. It's that simple.

At the risk of you calling me stupid again, what is the difference between someone who tinkers with game files and a "blatant cheater"? What of those people who accept hacked items of someone else who they know to be cheating?

I've seen people with a CSR staff that shouldn't have one, unlimited supplies of fireworks and now NPC armours of higher than the q1 statement made earlier. What is the point of posting names though when they all come back somehow, regardless of lifetime bans or not.

You seem to have an inability to comprehend anything outside your own scope.

Maybe you could try and understand this:
I (and others) have put weeks/months/years of game time into the ring. Working around its inefficiencys, bugs, putting up with a TOTAL and ABSOLUTE lack of development for something i am (was ><) paying for. It ammounts to something that is, in my eyes, an order of a magnitude greater than a bunch of guys dropping some boss 5 times in a row. (and i am sure they think the exact opposite - which is fair enough, everyon does what they find the most fun/challenging/interesting)

So understand when i say, that being inquisitive, and wanting to learn, and find out how to work with a system to IS NOT RELATED TO CHEATING.

DO NOT put ME in the same boat with some lowlife thats now being a right tool by abusing and exploiting things that I (and others) use for GENUINE reasons that are allowed.

(ryzom/user/readme.txt - yes its there, its been there forever, if it wasent a feature, it wouldnt be there. Its part of the game, put there on purpose by the developers, Thus NOT contradictory to the EULA or COC as it IS a feature. A lot of dev time must have gone into makeing it work. Its a real feature. did i mention that it exists because it was put there intentionally by the devs, and RELEASED WITH the game?)

Exploiting that feature is exactly the same as exploiting the "3D landscape" feature to "Cliff" mobs.

Cheating comes when you have no soul and no skill and are just a lazy git thats got no care for anything else and wants to get 1up on everyone else.

Someone just perma ban the abuser, and be done with it. then delete this thread so i can go back to my nice little corner and eventually do what my long term goals are in game, ie Host an Awesome multi shard event. But that never enters anyones head anymore, and recently i have lost interest due to the crippling ring bug. But no-one cares about that cos it doesent affect them.

I understand LOUD AND CLEAR Xtarsia but messing with code is, regardless of your intentions, wrong and leaves you open to the same abuse as the culprit.
Just because something is shipped with the game it doesn't give you the right to go into game files to implement it. If it was to be implemented it would be implemented regardless of dev hours it took to design.

I don't think I have ever fell out with you before Xtarsia and I don't intend to do so now. I think I am right and you think you are. I won't be posting again.

They were most likely crafted by players, possibly from other shards. You can trade between servers. Please stop spreading nonsense.

Ok this is just getting plain silly.

I havent named or shammed... but i am getting so fed up with the pathetic bickering, getting a permaban by posting screenshots i have of the players who have stuff they shouldnt (you can argue NPC armour, but can you argue CSR staffs???), will be a small price to pay.

And i can promise all who will read this... the persons involved will shock the communitiy as a whole; and what ever respect they have.. will go the way of GF France.....

So incase the persons of interest still havent figured it out yet... i suggest you let this drop; as there are MANY people out there that have many forms of proof of your actions....
