You made the "moral superiority" comment. You tried to defend it. You said the "it is just a game" excuse doesn't fly. Even if you were joking, it was only half-joking, at the most.
You will have to forgive those that took you seriously, because seriously is really how you ment it, I think.
I don't consider you a bad person, GJ; nor do I consider you irrational. Typically I enjoy the arguments we have here; and while I don't often find myself on your side, I can typically respect the maner you argue your point.
And while this isn't really the place to properly analyze you as a person, what I can gather form this forum leaves me with the impression that you are the type of person who thinks they see what no one else (or very few) can. That the wisdom of the masses is actually foolishness, and how things would be so much better if people would just stop being...well...people for a change and listen to you.
In short, you are an elitist.
You start off with deciding on a course, and since it it the course you chose, it must be correct. Then you will find bits and peices that justify that decsion, and say that you arrived at the choice through logic. Most of us do that, most of the time; but two things seperate the elitist from the normal self-absorbed man-on-the-street:
1)The elitist can not be convinced he is wrong; unless it is by someone he admires, but typically, the elitist admires people that are just like him.
2)The elitist is driven by the need to either convert everyone else to his way of thinking, or to find a way to impose his views on everyone else; for the greater good, of course.
On the forums, you have limited tools. Basically, posting the same ideas time and time again, hoping that either the players will grow up and listen to you; or that the devs will see your brilliance and follow your advice, ideally adding you to the development team in order to more efficiently get this game back on track.
Since niether outcome happens regularly, you get frustrated.
I understand that.
After all, if people would just stop being stupid and listen to me, we could make this game a much better place. Nevrax really should hire me, I know what has to be done to get this game back on track (better boobie physics).

The only object in fifteen billion light years in every direction that can choose rests inside the boney bowl atop your shoulders. Right?"
