Stop right there. Go ahead and argue with Jyudas and his opinions, but do not assume you have any clue about anyone's opinion or ideas in my guild. Just because someone's a member of my guild doesn't mean they hold all of the same opinions. Esecially do not assume you have any clue you know what my opinions are. If I wanted you know know I'd tell you, but I don't feel the need to argue with you or anyone else on this forum.

Oh and last I looked, we aren't the only Neutral guild. J just seems to be one of the most outspoken people and happens to be in a neutral guild. Don't assume you have any idea what the opinions are of any Neutral player unless they tell you.

besides no tp's in pr neutrals get no tp's in q250 digs, as a new player who doesnt buy into the whole faction thing and see it as aiding and abbetting PvP in effect, I see the lack of tp's as a blatent and undisguised prod to join one or the other faction, I simply do not trust either of them. Joining a faction means agreeing with them i dont, Nor do I choose to do PvP that being said, Logically I could see both factions constantly trying to sway the neutrrals with goodies to swell that fractions ranks so as a counter proposal for the neutrals why not add a surcharge for the q250 and pr dig areas that a neutral can buy both sides want more money for there coffers and in reality both factions would be wooing the neutrals. I just want parity. Notice i didnt say level the playing field just parity

However, should that change the fact that this was the way it was supposed to be? No. This game is about a factional conflict and the way homins fit into it. If you choose to go neutral, you know the deal... you take the hit and choose to sit on the side lines (or at least thats the way neutral is perceived in game. Neutral = absence of faciton and therefore an observer). If you truly value your neutrality, then you'd take pride in the fact that you were able to grind your levels to the same as those who are factioned, not constantly grind forum xp with posts whining about how you have it so tough. If its all that bad, then man up and pick a faction. If you insist on staying neutral, then do us all a favor and do it quietly.

.......
was the thread/poll creator a Neutral ?

we were asked for an opinion, and gave it.

right from my original character creation, I was planning on being a diplomat, bringing everyone together under the benevolent and progressive guidance of the Karavan and the enlightened government of the Matis. You cant be a diplomat if you are KOS witht the people you want to talk to.. and a diplomat has to be trustable by both sides.

Unfortunately Ep2 showed the Karavan to be as benevolent and progressive as the Kami were environmentally sensitive and harmonious.. (but the Matis are still brighter and better suited to leadership than the others :D )
So the factions are hollow excuses for mindless brawling :(
I continue my work with the lesser tribes, slowly building their trust so I can help them. Grinding faction fame and switching back and forth is not an option for me. It would be a betrayal of those relationships.

I could be the only person actually still playing with tribe fames.. which is as much a part of the game as anything else.

This game WAS marketed, and released as rebuilding a ruined world, and some people are keeping the dream alive.

Faction conflict is a facet of Ryzom, but should not be its focus.

Eh...had a more interesting reply written, but I figured it wasn't worth the bad blood it would bring up.

Suffice it to say, most of the neutrals don't have a problem with the currecnt arrangement.
As the neutrals are the most RP active, they are the ones I talk most with; so I know thier opinions.

Most of the vocal few with a hang up over this seem to come from your guild, Kostika.

As a 15 day freebie returning player, I want to thank you for reminding me why I left.

[to clarify: Not just the negativity here on the forums, but the PvP in the PR. Ryzom was fun with the kitin invasions, then became "might as well play DAoC or WoW or some other PvP ganking game". If I wanted that, I'd play Counterstrike]

Yeah, I know, don't let the screen door hit me...

Less than half of the Prime Roots is PvP enabled. If you wish to avoid it, use the other zones that are not PvP areas.

And additionally there is very little PvP in Umbra- just because it is allowed doesn't mean it happens a lot. I pretty much dig pr on a dialy basis and have only witnessed a handful of pvp altercations in umbra in the past several months.
