Maybe it's because the merchants don't sell items up to q300 yet even though they could in theory pass the ql filter, like the merchants in the capital don't sell above q50/100.

I think one of the mistake that Nevrax made was not providing enough things that dappers can be used for in-game.

Dappers are next to meaningless now (hence the ridiculous 50 mil aunctioning items), which also promotes keeping crafted items in-guild only and not putting things on the market for sales (or only degrades), which in turns created a pretty boring and dead market.

I remember when I was a newbie, a REALLY new newbie, I actually CARE about trying to make that first 500K, or that 1st Million, saving up for an apartment, a packer, a mount, etc.

But after that ... I will use dappers to wipe my ...nose ... for all I care.
If dappers were actually worth something, it would fuel the economy, gives pple more concrete goals, generate more players missions, and just genenrally improve gameplay immensely.

Outposts might provide a way to make dappers more meaningful, but there's aslo another thing that Nevrax can do.

This will be one of those "short term bad, long term good things". I am sure a lot of pple is gonna disagree with this, and it does seems a tad like a nerf, but ...

Here it is:

Make it so that you have to use dappers to BUY NEW SKILL BRICKS.

Make sure it's cheap for the low level,s so they can afford those lvl 1 Increase Damage or lvl 1 Self Heal bricks.

But increasingly raise the cost it takes to buy higher lvl bricks, spells, stats upgrade, etc.

Make money worth something.

And the world will go round and round at a more interesing pace :D
Can I have some cash? :D

Are you a new player? All new players start poor, and the only cash you'll enjoy is the type you earn yourself :) Kill mobs, quarter everything, sell everything to the NPC vendors.

You don't need uber-equipment anywhere near the start of the game - the only place this is almost required is foraging - for fighting, average equipment will do the trick until you make your fortune.

Also, make friends, make a team, find a guild, and your fortune and equipment may well find you instead :)

Not sure if this was mentioned yet, too lazy to read...

A casino or Mek race track would grab plenty of my dappers...

Gambling is a good way for money to be lost.

'Poker' style minigame?
'Chess' style minigame?
A lottery?
Some sort of casino or dice game?

The ability to place stakes on duels.

(Didn't read the whole thread, kinda tired atm, so apologies it this was mentioned)

Postal sevice! With or without delivery, delivery is more pricy ofc - and might be harder to implement.

You leave the stuff at the NPC and can limit which Player/Guild/Race can pick it up and for how much. If the limit is for a Player, he/she could get an IG mail that you left a package for him/her at XYZ town's post office and could grab it for N dappers. (If item is not claimed by the recipient or retrieved by sender it could go to garbage bin just like with merchant stuff - altough the 7 day limit might not be enough... or should reset on retrieve.)

If you want delivery, it could be that you can pick it up at any town / friendly tribe, but would cost more for the poster. Or even cooler would be if a mektoub rider would run to you and keep yelling 'Post is here!' in /around ;)

Would be good to solve timezone issues or basically anything that would involve player to player trading. And could function as minor dapper sink.
