And the developers think bringing in MORE PvP is a "good" thing? This thread is just the tip of the iceberg.

As a new player basing the game off this thread and it's contents, it's not looking like something I want to spend my money on. Kind of childish.

Someone tell me there's more to it than this?

Solas, its much more than this. Thats why I am trying to stop it. Some bored high level players are trying to "Have Fun". I am very sorry to have gone off on such a tangent.

This game is much much more than is reflected by this thread.

Take everything into perspective... This started as a whine from someone that CHOSE to enter a PvP zone and got killed. Hell, I got a lil pride and wouldn't tell anyone I got beat down... though there were two and that was a bit much prolly for the whiners levels, you did enter a PvP zone.

THEN certain guilds who want to dictate to others what the proper conduct in a PvP zone is chimed in... Out of principle those who think that you accept the risk when you enter a PvP zone spoke up... The end result is there are folks that talk, and folks that do...

I prefer the folks that I dont like that contribute to the community by playing a role in it to those that talk about playing a role. Now, personally I think folks like Grimjim that are Rpers are absolutely fine as long as they stay in their lane... that just don't happen often.

Actions not words...

<EDIT> P.S. I have never, EVER ganked anyone before this edict... I will back my allies call as they have backed mine in the past...

Yup yup Solas, no worries - PvP is not likely to be a significant part of your time on Atys, unless you want it to be.

For example, you might have thought from this thread that my guild is engaged in a lot of PvP conflict, attacking or defending. But that's not the case. We get a lot of peeps pissed off at us, I guess 'cause we don't have any qualms about speaking our minds, even to those who consider themselves powerful. But even so, we pretty much do what we want to do, when we want to do it... digging, crafting, levelling, hunting the biggest bosses and tribe commanders. That's what we consider to be the fun stuff, so that's what we do - folks that consider griefing &/or ganking to be entertainment have no place in our guild.

When outposts come, it will give something of a "chivalric code" to guild warfare. There will be fortresses to defend, and the battles will be at specified times when everyone has a chance to marshall their allies, so that will preclude ganking. The outposts sound worth fighting for, so the PvP will have context and purpose, so it won't be merely griefing. I'm looking forward to it, and so are most of my guildies :)

Some of us to take offence at some of the ON members actions / posts, I myself get ticked at how you act so high and mighty like you are some kind of voice for the people and try and crash down on peeps that just dont shair your point of view, by saying things like your better then this or shame on you. I dont like smack talk if ya not gonna back it up and Outposts will give us this chance :D

It wasn't a whine by blondy, it was a report. Get it straight, DT.
