You know what I think the GMs and guides should do about these incidents? Nothing. Let the players bicker at each other. Let them kill-steal. Players will never change thier attitudes, especially not by force. Some of them will continue to be malicious, and some of them will continue to whine at the most innocent of comments or actions. And while you don't want a world full of children reigning unchecked... well, the older players don't want to be lectured. better to let game rules set the reprocussions of bad behavior. I notice plenty of times a greedy team will wipe as they try to hoard a spawn instead of sharing. It doesn't always work out that well, but...

Maybe they can figure out a better way to change the game so that it's not IMPOSSIBLE to play when someone rains on your parade. I wouldn't say it's impossible right now, although for people with limited play-time it might be. It's so strange to think that with billions of mobs in Atys, that there isn't enough to go around to level TWO groups of high-level players. But it seems like the developers have pretty clear intentions when they designed Atys. And the intentions aren't about hormony. That is most clear.

I don't understand how they can have a fame system that's Kami/Karavan opposite and be planning on implementing rewards so that being neutral really shafts you, and then tell everyone to play nice even to people that are causing trouble. I don't think the majority of players here are of the Ghandi mindset.

I never had any problems with this and if people would move their asses of their favorite leveling spots and move more than 50m from a TP it wouldn't be a problem for those as well.

The events described by Basic are in fact taking place 100's of meters from a tp, and are typically a problem only for players trying to level up from 215-250 in a combat skill. I didn't notice any problems like this until I leveled up over 215 in a skill. The named mobs in the void are camped by high level players because they 1) are relatively easy to kill 2) pop close to or in fairly safe spots 3) are easy to run to 4) give 3000 xp regardless of team size or skill used.

There are other spots to level up combat skills from 200-250, but they require more risk and effort to reach and to use.

Oddly enough, the scene described by Basic is set in an area where there are at least 3 named mobs... so there really was no need for the two players who were left out of that team to attack the same named mob that the full team was hitting. All they really needed if they wanted to level, was to find a healer of their own and hit one of the other named's in the area, less than 100m away...

Faedyne says there are more than enough mobs….. Fay, why post when you obviously do not know of which you speak? There are a rare few at that level. And mboeing, same to you.

Kali, yes, and by the way, Getmesome is a healer, so Juggs could have gone forth to a different mob but Juggs has some strange romantic obsession with Itachi who was on team....stalks him a little.

Basic never complains, but he is complying with Brithelms request to post here any infractions in line with the accusations made in the original post.

..............Brithlem said: “…If you've been playing on the European server since the get-go... and have been wronged by an Infinity member since we've merged. Post about it here. I say this with the fullest confidence that absolutely NO replies will be posted…..”

…. Brithlem looses his confidence….

Once again Infinity blatantly break the rules and nothing is to be done.

Pre Server Crash

Tonight we got a report that Aen had spawned. We rallied the troops and headed out. The first guild member on the scene told us that another guild had already pulled Aen and was killing her. The rest of the guild members involved were already in route and almost to the Fyros/Zorai portal when we were told. We continued on to the portal to meet up, get teamed, and figure out what to do next. As we arrived, nearby Aen guards aggroed a few of our team members as well as the team killing Aen. They accused us of dragging aggro on them which was not the case. We had no intention of dragging aggro nor kill stealing. We healed some of the team killing Aen and after a few mins of trying to explain we left the scene while they were still killing Aen. After the whole incident Dekkert (one of the team members killing Aen) said he review video footage he was recording and agreed we did not do it intentionally. As we left the scene Aen guards aggroed us again. Instead of running to the portal for safety...we tried to out run them to avoid anyone thinking we were trying to drag aggro. Our team wiped and the server went down.

Post Server Crash

After we logged in (dead) when the server came up we saw that the other team did not kill Aen. We waited 15 minutes and nobody showed up. The event was reset when we logged in and the other team was no where in sight. We decided to give it a shot even though we had a small team. After 10 minutes of trying to pull Aen we finally got her alone. It was very slow going and would have taken 30 minutes with the team we had but other guild members on their way. Alibooma and Itachi showed up asking if we wanted help. Itachi ported and Ailbooma joined our team. A few minutes later Orochi showed up and did not say anything just ran around in circles. A few minutes later Morgaine comes running towards our team with a Kirosta on her tail. She dies by our team and now we have a kirosta to deal with. At this same time Skellop appears in battle. I though Morgaine also dragged him along but was told later that Orochi dragged Skellop to us. While trying to deal with all of this several Infinity members show up and start running circles around Aen and casting nukes on her trying to steal aggro. The infinity team showed up approximatly 45 mins after the server reboot and 15 minutes after we had pulled Aen. Sure enough because of the Kirosta and Skellop our tanks drop and Infinity stole the Aen aggro. They proceeded to try and run her away from our team. As soon as we got out tanks back up Aen ran back to us. We tanked Aen to the end as you can see in the screenshots. Because we had a smaller team and had to heal the tanks the Infinity team (mostly infinity, there was two others that were not infinity in the team) was able to nuke Aen and do more damage to get the kill and the loot. This was blatant kill stealing.

I have not read this whole thread because I try to avoid drama but when the drama includes me there is not much I can do. From the bits and pieces I have read, this is the third indecent of Infinity breaking the rules (in this thread) by dragging aggro on to another team and kill stealing. How much longer is this going to go on before something is done? It is players like this that ruin the game for others.

What can the GMs do? Say 'Please play nice.' and 'Don't do that again.'
The game mechanics do not lock out mobs when one team starts beating on it. So the only thing stopping a team from taking a kill away from another is - nothing. Only a sense of fair play and common decency is what keeps things civilised. But then that is the whole basis of civilisation. The only thikng that keeps most folks in line is - nothing. There is just an inherent sense of fair play in most folks. But there will always be an element of the population that will not think twice about trying to bend the rules or get something the easy way.

That is beside the fact that the other team probably feels that they were fighting the Aen first so you were the stealers. And from what the GMs said in Klients was that the server did NOT reset - it was a network outage - so the servers stayed up and running. So the damage calc done on the Aen was not reset. So that combined with the damage they did before the network outage means they did more than 50% damage. So hence it was their kill legitimately, not yours.
