Cancelled mine as well. I'm leaving because they increased the grind. I liked it just fine before. Now Ryzom has very little that sets it apart from all the other time-sinks out there. I'm not going to even bother holding my breath. Ahh but it was wonderfull while it lasted... Fairwell all.

And yes, I have cancelled, and I will greatly enjoy not playing the same game as you.

Actually... no. I cancelled my preorder and lost ATS server options because the preorder was taking up to three weeks longer than shelf-release dates. A week after the official release of the game, Amazon's preorder was still promising shipping a 1-2 weeks. EB had no clue when they were getting in the game and VideoGamesPlus's online store kept bumping up their release date a day at a time. (and I think only EB and maybe Amazon allowed the ATS bonus) I had two preorders registered and I cancelled them both when I found the game a week after release in a small game store across the mall from EB.

Preorders were the more commited to the game, perhaps, but a lot of the preorders were left sitting on their thumbs instead of playing the game and got no real advantage for it.

Tin.

You honestly preferred blind groups? Completely predictable, no danger, no healing. That was more boring than grouping in EQ. More of a grind, IMO.

I've been one of Ryzom, and Nevrax's staunchest supporters, doing my best to remain level-headed and keep in mind that they have just launched and that whatever woes the game suffered pre and post-beta would be addressed in Patch 1, Patch 2 and all the smaller patches along the way..

Well... let's just say that I've had a really huge light blasted right in my eyes because, after Patch 1, and even the mini-patch, I have cancelled my subscription as well, regretfully. Ryzom was to be my next "home online"... but, not now.

It made no sense to me before to have yubos and caprynis that die in 1 or 2 hits and don't do much damage overall, mixed in with Ragus and Gingos that have considerably more HP and do alot more damage. But.. I was able to handle Ragus, up to 2 at a time without much worry.. just had to watch my health. Gingos, anything higher than a Vigorous, I had to make sure I could tackle one at a time because beyond that, I had to high-tail it back to the Yrkanis guards. This was at Offensive Magic 37/38. I could manage... I just had to be careful. No problem.

After the patch and mini-patch, I now have to worry about being more than a 10 second run from the city gates because if I get aggro'd by a Gingo or Ragus now, nevermind more than one, my chances of survival are almost nil. Chances are I won't even make it back to the city.

Earlier this evening, I took on a Growling Ragus. The thing almost killed me in 4 hits - *while it was blinded*. Two attcks did over 200HP of damage. I had 678 HP going into the fight, I was left with 20-something by the time it died. If another spawned or chained on, forget it. Game over. I don't even want to think of what a Scowling Ragus would have done... much less a Gingo. And this is all within just a handful of yards of the Yrkanis gates - right around other mobs that give me 8xp per one-hit kill. No wonder people are racking up 100's of thousands of DP and then taking forever to work it off; I thought they were exaggerating at first.

So, absent a party, my options for leveling are, fight Yubos and Capryinis for 8XP or so apiece.. or run 20' and fight Ragus and Gingos that are going to rip me limb from limb before I can get a heal spell off. All within sight of the Yrkanis entrance.

I thought DAoC had messed up mob distribution in the low level areas.. this tops it.

I was perfectly happy grinding away until the real content came in Patch 2... But, now grinding isn't even an option. So, looks like I'm going to be looking for something else.. But, I'm not going to leave on a hostile note. Clearly, the changes are going to be welcome by a number of people.. I'm just not one of them.

Take care, everyone. It's been fun chatting with y'all.. And, those of you who are enjoying the changes and will continue to play, more power to ya and I hope you continue to enjoy the game well into the future. I may well check back down the road, but for right now, it's just not what I would call fun anymore..

Take care!

I will be here until end of this month. I am hoping that they REtweek things. I believe that they will notice that the game has lost ALOT of fun at this point.

I haven't canceled, what good would it do, since this month was already charged. But I am VERY saddened that they would yank the reigns hard enough to chip almost everyone's teeth.

Well, I guess I will be here for the long haul. All games need to try something and if it doesn't work then you try again.

I am still having fun and tonight after the patch 1.1 I thought it improved greatly. But I am not a power leveler. At least I can understand this game to a degree. SWG I still can't walk straight and keep out of the walls. I have tried a few others but I still love Ryzom.

I think people should give it a chance. So complain but gee give them a chance.

Maybe you find it to difficult now to level up in a few hours. Shoot I have been trying to level since it came out and am only like 63 healing. Now you know how I feel.

I am staying with the game and hope they get it where people will come back

At least people who really love the game like I do

I absolutely will not leave Ryzom anytime soon. It's still better to me than a lot of other games out there. I enjoy the harvesting and crafting, and I've got more than enough patience to waith for them to make some fixes. Not a problem for me. But, I'm not interested in being high level right now. I want to just take my time, meet people, kill a few yubos (cuz that's probably all I can solo now LOL).

You can still play until your time paid for / free time runs out.

Cancel means "when my free time / paid time already billed runs out, do not charge me again". It's at that point you cannot play anymore.

gonna leave if they don't fix back the monsters to what they was. nuff said. I play to have fun not to get constantly frustrated. and DO NOT FEED ME WITH THE CRAP THAT IS MORE STRATEGIC BECAUSE I WANT TO KNOW HOW YOU CAN MAKE STRATEGY IN FIVE *CENSORED* SECONDS THAT A FIGHT LASTS.
