- Continuous Kitin, Tribal and Marauder content that responds towards player interaction,
(f.e. a kitin hivemind in a Stock that isn't being kept in check keeps growing till it needs to 'feed'; unless players beat them back)
- Tribal patrols that hunt, gather, kill enemy tribes and enemy players on sight,
- Revamp of Boss mob AI as for the NPC Bosses; more challenging, no respawns at reboot, and a random timed respawn rate,
- Revamp of the respawn rate of Slayer/Destroyer/Demolisher/Death mobs; not just after a reboot,
- Revamp of the respawn rate of Supreme material nodes, again, random timed respawn rate, not just at reboot or start of season,

* Political gameworld content:
- Spires,
- Tangible and differentiated rewards for climbing in Cult/Faction/Nation hierarchy,
- More use of the already present gameworld's lore; the diversity of believes within cults (Jenaïsm vs Karavanism for instance), the nations,
the threats to Hominkind's existence, the minor cults, ...
(the game has a rich background but so far we seem to have been stuck with only a polarised conflict of 2 out of 3 factions and if it weren't due to our
Event team we'd have had nothing at all on all the other not-so unimportant factors, points of view)
- Give the civilizations a more important role, presence, make them feel alive,
- Gradually build up political affairs and intrigues, negotiations and alliances, tensions, conflict, laws, ...
and make it noticeable to all ingame, not just by text or event,
- Better ingame presence of the threats to Hominkind,
- Permanent ingame presence of sub-cults and minor cults,
- Get the third faction started and noticeable ingame, even if gradually; you can not expect a new faction to grow, be competitive
and play a part in the Saga when you've lost all interested because they've had to wait for years for 'something to happen',
- Alliance mechanics,
- Actual rebuilding of our civilizations,

* Guild and soloplay enhancements:
- More functionallity for guilds,
- More Rites, both available for guild and soloplay,
- More functionality for Outposts, Guildhalls, Apartments,
- Different types of Outposts,
- Dynamic mission system that has an impact on player environments,
- Non-exclusion to content by gameplay,

* Overall enhancements and additions:
- Craft statistics that still need to get used or fixed (one handed weapons, ranged weapons, shield requirments),
- New skilltrees: f.e. Alchemy (consumables, 'enchants', dyes, ...), Entertainer (dance, music), Thieving, Decoration craft, Boat and Siege engine craft, ...
- New ecosystems with unique wildlife: oceanic, swamps, tundra, ... or something pretty weird that fits Atys.


And get us DCC back. ;)

Some of the "tasks" on RoS are mission, which have some nice rewards, other "tasks" are tutorials. Both of them are there as tutorials, but they are overshadowed by the rewards and how it is done in some other games. Makeing it more clear should clear up some of the misunderstand.
Giving them a work over, for instance using the word tutorials or similar and focus on the guideing of the players that arive might help.

I must admit I am a bit in both camps as far as the content of RoS is concerned, on one hand I can see why it is a good idea to help new players get started. But on the other hand I also think that distracts from what Ryzom is (to me at least), namely a game where you do what you feel like doing and are free to explore and find your own way of playing.

Some tutorials on RoS are lacking I think (harvesting makes the tutorials seem hasty put together and not always helpful), so to keep ontopic ( :p ) I suggest a reworking, or fine tuning if you will. And I think R2 could be a good choice with some focused tutorials, as long as the current system is in place as well, that would give those who want to go more indepth an oppertunity to that and to see what R2 is before moveing to the mainland.

and pretty please, go back to your benchs and design a pvp systen that doesnt mix politics and pvp.. and that could be interesting to the 'casual' pvp fan i am.

OK - here's my 2 dappers worth:

These are the things that cause me to stumble/hesitate when I get the urge to call Ryzom one of the greatest games ever:

1) Apartment invites. Apartment customization. Being able to craft from your apartment inventory while IN the apartment. Am i the only person who was super-disappointed in spending a million dappers for what is essentially a remote storage building - like those roadside garage-door style rental units you see all over the place? Not only is there nothing interactive in there, but I couldn't even invite my spouse back there to show what I got for my million dappers!!! At least when we bought mounts (which were cheaper by the way) we were able to share them with each other by going on rides, etc. And what better time or place for crafting than in my own apartment? How can standing in front of the stables promote better use of my skills than sitting on my own turf? (can you tell i am not happy with apartments? hee hee)

2) The single largest exploit i know of is this issue of "storing" your mats or items in the shops by setting the sell price to infinity. Why hasn't this been fixed? A simple tweak that charges a percentage to 'retrieve' these items would go a long way towards correcting this widespread and annoying behaviour. This one practice makes it so annoying to visit the shop that I avoid the merchants at all costs. What business owner have you ever known that offers their services at absolutely no cost? Silly...

3) More rites / quests. Some days I am more interested in role play ans story than others. I am not always interested in simply increasing my skills, but there isn't alot of story / role play type content. THe current "missions" are more like chores, and other than fame points seem to serve little to no purpose. Kinda like PvP, they wouldn't be NECESSARY but there if you want them. Dungeons to explore? Ruins to examine? Even linking quests together in a logical sequence would give them a little more meaning. EXAMPLE: If i'm offered to take some note to someone in another town, wouldn't there then be some reaction from the recipient? What is in the note? The recipient would then offer quests based on the completion of this one, i.e. a quest that wasn't even offered before I completed this one, which then leads to another quest (possibly somewhere else altogether), etc. This would create quests with deeper meaning and a greater sense of reward for completing them, along with the greater commitment required to complete them. I can truly see this even leading to quests that take days, weeks, months, (more?) to complete. Long term goals! I LIKE it!

4) What happened to our ability to view room and guild hall inventories remotely (/AH show inv_room, etc)? I cannot understand why this was removed. I would like to see this returned.

5) I agree with many posters that cats, and to some extent OP mats, are an irritant to non PvP players. When I first came to the mainland, you could actually get cats and flowers by defeating the Mega-Kitins (i think this was during slaughter week?). At the time, i thought this was how everyone got cats! It was never many, but it sure was cool to find them. Why did this go away? In fact, couldn't they be harvested (rarely and randomly) from the ground?

I think there's a definite call for more encyclopaedia missions, and I'd supplement that by saying that more involved missions (but not quests) would also be good to have, things like caravan escort missions and so on.

Other than that things seem to be pretty spread out, though there's a lot of tweaks that people want, lots of little things like the last patch that people really liked and would like to see more of.

To keep people _happy_ I think that diversity of opinion shows there needs to be more than one approach to things, like OP content, so that everyone can get their 'game on', freedom being an important part of Ryzom's attraction.

Also, if R2 is going to get used and become a real part of the game it needs hosting and it needs rewards, and not the crippleware that's been previously suggested.

I saw more than one request for the Return of Kitin Patrols in non PvP areas of Prime Roots.
