Lore, play, long term game viability and expectation that Nevrax are actually interested in producing something more interesting and effective than WoW.

In the end; you don't need no stinkin' pacts for them Roots!
Would be great aswell :)

Nevrax created Judys point of view by releasing the game unfinished. Had neutrals not had PR access from the start, I'm sure he wouldn't be whining as much. However, should that change the fact that this was the way it was supposed to be? No. This game is about a factional conflict and the way homins fit into it. If you choose to go neutral, you know the deal... you take the hit and choose to sit on the side lines (or at least thats the way neutral is perceived in game. Neutral = absence of faciton and therefore an observer). If you truly value your neutrality, then you'd take pride in the fact that you were able to grind your levels to the same as those who are factioned, not constantly grind forum xp with posts whining about how you have it so tough. If its all that bad, then man up and pick a faction. If you insist on staying neutral, then do us all a favor and do it quietly.

mrshad wrote:You have this tendancy to RP what is convienent to you.

That the access was ever there for neutrals at all was a OOC oversight, and I think you know that.

The portals are nothing more than a game mechanic that move us from one adjacent area to another, hardly an RP justification for non-factioned teleportation.

That Tryton did it by stealing Karavan technoogy proves only that it takes exceptional beings with access to very advanced tools to accomplish it. Tryton has either left Atys or is, more likely, dead. When was the last time a homin heard from him? Although, were a Trytonist faction to be established in the game mechanics, and he were able to set up teleport points on Atys, and they had the same fame requirements as the existing point...no complaint from me.

But I am willing to bet that a certain band of mercs would still cry about the need to ally themselves with a philosophy that they don't fully support in order to get efficient transport to high levee areas.
Also, props to Mrshad... you and i don't usually see eye to eye on things, but the above post words Judys neutral position perfectly. Granted its his right to RP what he likes, but its another thing entirely to come on here and whine about how it doesn't always fit into the game mechanics.

marct wrote:Quite possibly it is something that was always intended to be this way, but not implemented due to time constraints. Why would it be that unrealistic to believe that it was intended the way it is now.

Yes it was "taken away."

And lastly, why do you EXPECT the neutrals to be thrown a bone?
In reference to the remark this refers to, neutrals WERE given something ... patrols removed from PR, this was 'compensation' for losing all those tp's. At least that what we were lead to believe at the time.

IMHO, patrols missing from PR should be restored. That was a bit of a let down for me.

It's a hard choice to be neutral, you have some sympathy for that, however, what no one should have is access to things the gods don't want you to have, you can either do as many have suggested and store up 1000 tickets (a grand total of 100 bulk for that, so maybe we should ask for one concession and add 100 bulk to the space on a mount), and revert to being neutral and probably for the next year you'd never need another pact. By then, you'lll know those zones so well you won't NEED to have a soft cushy tp pact, you'll be a pro ;) .

Or, do as other neutral diggers do and be proud of how much harder you have to work than me ;) .

There's lots of options, aside from whining..

lol, sure, there's a few plump juicy bosses we kara usually lose first crack at (and I'm sure vice versa).

Let's do that April 1-8th maybe as april fools joke, allow everyone to buy every TP for a week ? :)

khmm... mounts are uselss for constant travel because they eat too much. while buying food for you mount is not a problem, storing it is ;-)

having tp's cuts down time needed to travel. traveling is boring. if it would be fun, everyone would just run from point a to point b.

anyway... devs, speed up spires... its time for war to go forward ;-)
