Unfortunately the bigger picture is turning out to be a Piccaso instead of a Counstable...

Any change to gameplay not announced = stealth patch.
Now that we have seen the effects of this change, and how harmful they can be, such as not being able to rez members of your own guild, how long must we wait until this is reversed?
last november due to player complaints a decision was made: Players can not heal enemies in PvP zones, period.
this decision was carried on to FvF and what you see is the result of something that was known for ~10 months now, not in any way a stealth patch(reminder: other faction = enemy)

Then why do they allow you to team with enemies and heal them? If they stop being enemies when you team with them why can you still attack them?
1/2 done implementation or quick fix sold as a solution?
How about letting us know what can and cant be done in each of the three zone types and maybe a why its like it.
PvP (the arena)
GvG (Roots/Nexus)
FvF (Sawdust mine and the random part of Matis up north)
Have they added a warning to the FvF zones recently, I remember going to the range safari and spending loads of time 'finding the line' so you could make teams etc.
To me, keeping it simple, I would think of it like this:
In PvP (Team vs Team) - team is friend and everyone else is the enemy
In GvG - Only your guild is friend and everyone else is the enemy, as we don't have in game stuff for allies
In FvF - Kami vs Karavan vs Neutral (Neutral does not mean non-aggression) vs opt out (unable to heal or hurt anyone in a FvF zone)

arbitrary decisions made by nevrax for the first one and nobody complained about the second thing

both, as usual ^^
don't get me wrong, i don't like these changes either, i just don't like it when people try spreading bad blood by advertising something as stealth patch when it isn't
personally the best solution to go about this would be the possibility to create sets of rules with varying degrees of importance
example:
Lvl 0 guildless homins are friends
Lvl 0 all guilds are enemies
Lvl 1 homin a (guildless) is enemy
Lvl 1 guild a is friend
Lvl 2 homin b from guild a is enemy
optimally with the possibility to define rules for faction alignment as well, but well, those are day dreams...

You should not introduce IPfilter rules into a game. At a certain point nothing works anymore
Suddenly you get DP cause you talked to the welcomer of your capital.
j/k
Way off topic but its Friday and i need to kill one hour

block out on { GvG, FvF } proto heal
pass out quick on GvG proto heal from { $guild, $team } to { $guild, $team }
pass out quick on FvF proto heal from $faction to { $faction, $neutral }
pass in proto nuke
block out proto nuke
pass out on { GvG, FvF } proto nuke
block out quick on FvF proto nuke from $faction to $faction
# maybe last is '... to { $faction, $neutral }', never tried

it says in the manual that u dont die when ur hp goes to 0.. u get uncounsios or like K.O=PP *hides*
ohh and this game sux so bad in strategy and richness it just an empty 3d wolrd that u can press a button and kill a mob=( been playing Final Fantasy 11 now for awile and that game is soo much harder and the tactics are a must or u die.. if im lvl 75 in warrior (lv 75max) and i wanna lvl my white mage i dont get my warrior stuff with me i start from 50hp again and need to kill lvl 1 mobs .. not like ryzom when u got like 4000hp and then i wanna lv my lvl 50 staff on bawabs lol=P and i still can get killed form that=P one thing that truly is a great thing about htis game is the grinding system and the crafting system that is so well made or maybe they just stumbled on it and thogut hey wth=P
and in FF there is another thing called "hate" that is like if the melees in the Team hits the mob for 1 hit and rest miss and the healers heals then the mob attacks the healer cuz he/she have done the most thing in the Team to try and keep it up so the melee needs to know theyr job and have skills=)

It makes perfect sense in the context of the lore and the actual game mechanics. fyi guild members can res/heal each other in GvG zones regardless. If they are a different faction then they cant in a FvF zone. The very definition of these two zones gives a big clue about how things will work.
Because your character isn't a fighter (as you have stated in previous posts) that doesnt mean you have to object to all the changes which are going through at the moment. The faction zones are fundementally tied to the story, which for a lot of us is an interesting one and something we would like to see continued. they are not put in to make your digging easier, but rather to facilitate the progression of the story and of Ryzom in general. I can appreciate that to you the inconvience of not being able to be ressed in such an area is important, but there is a bigger picture
It has
nothing to do with me not being rezzed. I object to anybody not being able to decide who they are going to rez.
As you are unwilling to read through the previous posts, the argument is this; Fame is a function of what a player has done, not a determinent of what they will do.
Otherwise, all Matis and Trykers would be, now and forever, Karavan. All Fyros and Zorai would be, now and forever, Kami. No-one wants this sort of straight-jacketing. And yet, determination of our actions (ie. the removal of our ability to heal who we saw fit) has been forced upon us.
Xenofur- Perhaps I missed the announcement of this change in the patch notes, such announcement would make it not a stealth patch. I would appreciate it if you would post a link to that announcement, for our edification.
