When did you start playing Ryzom?

did anyone else actually download the supersize client download to play in beta like i did? seems everyone else got disks o.0

For Open Beta? I've downloaded that and burned it to CD (I kind of collect the beta disks of games I've tested).

CDs were only for closed beta, everyone had to download the open beta client

And its been a long haul all the way, but never really stopped having fun along the way. And that is true even now.....

I was looking for a game engine and came across NeL, which led me to Ryzom. I played to Open beta, then bought the game when it released and played for a few months. I quit when WoW came out, but quit wow after about two months and am back in Ryzom about 4 months ago. I just paid for another quarter of Ryzom yesterday as a matter of fact!

Around Christmas for me, it seems like many started to play SoR then (accordingly to the votes). It´s sad to see so many old wolfs leaving the game, especially when they leave the game for "pure garbage" like WOW etc

Ooops a little late posting/voting, but never mind

OB1 oldie here, started playing the day the Beta hit fileplanet (early March 04 IIRC). Played almost constantly until Beta was closed, but didn't go for FBT or OB2 due to RL issues and lack of free time.

Started playing release in November, and again played 90% of my spare time until late March/early April. At that point I started my 'break', and have been playing the W game up until 2 weeks ago. More annoyed with my relative situation compared to other players and my guildmates than the game itself, I find myself back at Ryzom's door again.

My sub has been open since early November 04.
