I'm glad you said that. Because if you have a right to look at a forum without a lot of whining, then I have a right to look at a board without a lot of brown-nosing and butt kissing.

This is how I see it.

I am paying for a service, and so are you. We pay our money in hopes of recieving the desired product.

For example:

I order a pizza. If it comes on time, and it tastes good, and meets the expectatioins I have due to the advertising by the pizza company, I will be happy, and buy it again. They have a loyal customer.

But if I order a pizza, and it doesnt come on time, or tastes like dirty socks, I will probably discontinue my relationship with that pizza joint.
Unless I've had great pizza from them in the past, and know they can do better, then I will put up with it, and hope for a better one next time. When that comes, and if its dissapointing again, I will probably stop buying it from them altogether.

Now, as far as this relates to Ryzom.

We are paying for a service. We have heard advertisements about this service, and promises of its quality. If I do not feel that it meets the standard they set, I can stop paying, and move on.

But many of us see a strong potential in this service, and dont want to just throw it away, so we take advantage of this forum to post our concerns, in hopes that they get resolved, so we can be happy with our service again.

Some of us are more patient than others, and dont get so irritated with eating pizza that tastes like dirt socks... they try not to look at the negative side, and are hoping for improvements.

So, for those that are unhappy and dont want to wait... best wishes and have fun in your gaming future.

For those that have a vested interest in the game, and want to see improvement, post your thoughts, send tickets to the liasons, and try to not repeat yourself when its not necessary. Once you've said it, then let it be said.

For those that dont like to read others negative comments, dont read them. There is a feature called ignore, that can take care of your issue I hope. be patient with the impatient folks, as you have been patient with Neverax. :)

i agree we have a right to complain, i'm paying good money for this game to play each month.

i've had several issues, most that i report tho however isolated to one spot and is reproducable gets blamed on my system. that's unfortunately not service that's blaming.

i like the game, it's stable for the most part cept in a couple spots that several ppl have admited to crashing. however i honestly don't like being blamed for these issues.

i think they're correct in voicing their opinions, squeaky wheel gets the grease. i personally am getting censored cause i say there's bugs in the game.

is this right or correct? no it's not, in fact it makes things worse because now someone who is willing to help out and try and fix a problem with the game but no i just get told "it's you there's nothing wrong"

all that's gonna happen is people are going to leave and with a lack of stuff being added or fixed people will lose interest in the game and not resubscribe.

small games and companies need good service and quality products. while they do a have a quality product it needs some work.

Of course you all have the right to complain moan or whatever you want to call it, the fact is many people dont want to see all these posts, so lets have a special section for "advise and critism"

Well they're discussion forums aren't they. People discuss things. As long as they meet the forum rules what's the issue?

If your sick of people complaining stop replying to their threads! Even stop reading them.

No need to remove threads to another forum just because some people don't like them. Think of the outcry when the mods lock threads!

I disagree with what some people say and agree with others. I get sick of some peoples continual harping on some topics (remember Tetra and his pet issue? ;) ). I just stop reading/replying to them.

Live and let live.

Something won't be hearing Soon(tm):

Hello! My name David COHEN CORVAL (“Kaeru”) and I am the Creative Director on the Saga of Ryzom. Jessica Mulligan (our Executive Producer on SoR) and I just wanted to pop in and let everyone know that Raynes is right in everything he says. We need to come clean so you fanbois will leave poor Raynes alone. We suck. The devs suck, the programmers suck, the QA team sucks and our next adventure, R², will suck². We shouldn't have excluded Raynes access to our boothe... that was just us being spiteful and rude (yes, we read the forums). We were only at E3 hoping one of the big game companies would buy us out so we could retire to the Isle du Levante.

Our expectations do tend to overshadow what anyone else can deliver. The longer we have to wait for new "content" the less likely it is going to meet our expectations. True, we waited a while for the new rites, and true, they weren't received with much acclaim or enthusiasm. I haven't done them all but the Tryker's "more flags" skill doesn't have me all that excited to work hard on raising my fame with any of the other races. Although the Zoraï skill sounds cool.

I can't get my head around why the primary complaintants use "6 months without new content." Guess they want to make it seem even worse than it is. Or I've simply been too busy playing and working with my guild on the BM website to notice.

We don't need a new forum section. We do need to be civil. We need to realize that to be taken seriously we need to have something worth listening to. We also need to have our concerns addressed in a timely and informative manner. We've seen steps towards this but since its not going fast enough (it may never unless we have "Dev Chat" via Klient or something) folks tend to fall back into their old habits of crying until Mommy brings them a fresh bottle and clean diaper.

There, there, all better now...

okies. We all done?

been a very eventful day on the forum's. I started this thread cause the alternative was to scream in frustration at work, and bless them my office would probably have not been completely impressed with that. It's not a good reason for starting a thread i know, but i guess i'm not the first to hit that 'submit' button without really thinking things through ;)

hopefully everyone who wanted to voice an opinion has done so now, and i'm well impressed it didnt degenerate into personal insults :D

Lawrence, can u close this one now? (or when u get up as it's kinda late)
