Latest ratings comment for SoR:
Game needs Group loot-Pets-Fishing-Player Tents and Camp Fire-Cooking-Able to sit in chairs.. More Friendly Interface! Get Rid of the Noob islands! Add 4 more Races that you can go into PvP with would mabe add more fun? Trying out a 14 day Trial, hoping this is the game for me. :)
In other words, he wants to make it into a WoW-clone.

amitst wrote:GW is not an MMORPG,

theres an RPG that you can play online like diablo, and then thers a PVP thats more akin to counterstrike, you dont intereact with huge groups

honestly does anyone call counterstrike an MMORPG? you could, but its not the same as ryzom

edit: my point is that i already consider us to be in first place, wow is something basic that most eveyrone has played and moved on from, and gw is not an mmorpg
agreed. I think the correct word for it is CORPG (Coorperative Online Role Playing Game).. so that makes us number 2 on the list... And since WoW is just filled with 11 year olds, I consider Ryzom #1 of the mature MMO's.

Looks like we're in an epic struggle with EVE. This is going to be one long bloody battle.

I haven't played EVE, but I understand that it is also a very innovative and different type of game, one with a true players economy and lotsa depth. So I think SoR and EVE can duke it out and share the spot.

But as far as I am concerned, we already helped SoR greatly by getting it up so near the top and posting our own reviews on the game and what SoR has to offer. You can tell by the influx of new players to the game, especially those that have never even heard of it.

As long as SoR remains in that list and praises accurately by us, I think it's a very positive thing. It doesn't need to be numero uno.

Now, it's all up to Nevrax to hook and retain the players playing, the ball is in your court, Nevrax.

People did the make accounts give it 10 rating thing on my forums for a game that was coming out, this led to the owner of mmorpg.com finding out and not being impressed and for this he removed all the ratings for the game and it slid out of existance on the hyop meter and the new system was introduced (it was always in planning and development though) where your rating to be able to rate things was based upon the auality of language and lengths of your posts and other thing, the owner made a detailed description somewhere on my forums.

I told the people at the time they where stupid and that they would only harm the game but they didnt listen lol so I really don't suggest you do it for ryzom.

If you feel the need to give it all 10s make sure you leave good reasons why. I left a rather long comment when I posted on mmorpg.com, but if some admin was to do that, then he would probably be watching for the people that give it all 0s too.

I only downloaded the SoR client and 14-day trial because of MMORPG.COM, so I guess I should do the right thing and vote since I am enjoying the free trial very much :)

P.S. Where can I find a manual? The in-game link shown in the help system is a dead link.

There used to be a PDF manual at the "old" website, but it isnt on the new one... Maybe they are reviewing it, and putting it up to date, before making it public once more.

Welcome to SoR btw.. I hope you enjoy the beauty of Atys, and the kindness of the homins (kill the Kitins!)
