I'm wondering if this means that you cannot go to roots unless you are lvl 90 (pull q100) but then how can you raise roots foraging at 51??

As far as I know (we are still in post-patch hysteria ) I'm aware of two issues. Since they are undocumented changes/features/bugs it is hard to tell if they are intentional, bugs, or whatever.

* Some prospected sources appear with an empty blue bar, meaning no resources. At some spots all the sources you prospect are empty. Also, it was possible to get the message "no more mats in this deposit" at half the pull even with a half full blue bar. IMVHO, this can be either intentional (make PR sources more scarce) but bugged or plainly a new bug with the fix that fixed other issues with the harvesting bars (like sources exploding with more than 1/3 of the ground stability, with no warning and no effect, just your HP bar at 100 HP left. I've been hit by this one twice). Personally, I think it's a bug and will be fixed asap (maybe it has already been with mini patch 31)

* OTOH, at it seems to be the case for Prime Roots only, there is a minimum extraction quality stanza required to extract from a source according to the max q allowed for the source. In other words, to extract from a q(X+50) source you need to apply a qX extraction action. In theory, it would mean that as long as you are a lvl qX-10/15 (depending on gentle/aggressive) in any branch you could apply an extraction action "high" enough. *In practice* that would result in *lots* of failed actions and degraded qualities, which means that basically you need to be lvl qX-10 in the PR branch. I think (but I may be wrong!) that this change is intentional, so no low level harvesters would harvest in lvl 200 / 250 zones. The main issue, as discussed in other posts is that the minimum q source in roots is 150, which means that you need to be lvl 90 in Prime Roots. If this change is intentional, it means that to go from lvl 51 to 90 you need to care for a higher level basically. A possible solution would be to add q100 nodes (see other posts), and unless they have been indeed added (I have not checked ALL the zones) this seems the oversight people are complaining.
