It makes harder that some person of the outgoing staff, being angry, makes some bad move in the data or servers.
Years ago, I have to spend a whole nigth watching over (Being me phisically there, staring at the server lol) a server with critical data because we have to move the next day and we don't be sure about the outgoing staff. That kind of things must not happen, but it happens anyway. And is good be caregul with that.
I don't say that this be their motivation, neither it is good, but I see more reasons for a nija-movement in this issues.
Well I think you're enforcing my argument, not being devil's advocate. I can see no reason for the Jolt CSR to be angry unless they have been stitched up. That's how it looks from the outside, GF said they were keeping Jolt, then they secretly set up and test new servers and move the game. Then, and only then, do Jolt find out they've been dumped.
I'm not saying that's how it was, just how it
seems based on the lack of facts coming from GF. Until I hear something from GF, I can only assume it was something along those lines, can't I?
mithur wrote:I have in mind a number of reasons for that. Maybe they are contacting some of the will-be-former CSR to hire them, or maybe they are contacting privately the volunteers to know how they can re-make the team.
And I see no reason they can't tell us if that is the case. A simple "we are assembling a new team, some may be from existing voluntary staff" would allay many fears. Doesn't have to give details, just has to give
something.

the first "session" if you wanna call it that with Phelan on IRC can now be read
HERE
There's alot of nonsense in that log, but it will take some time to clean it off,
and many people do appreciate to see the entire log, unedited

what a load of bollocks.
Erm... distressing? doesnt begin to cut it anymore.
I can only assume a complete lack of comprehension on GF's part as to how much the CSR mean to everyone.
(thanks for posting btw)

Couldn't agree more...
Theres blatantly more to this than meets the eye, and we're all left in the dark and told it'll all be alright...
Meh!

There might be, but I don't think so.
Simply, SoR isn't making as much money as it costs to keep online.
GF has to do something to change that.
Moving servers and putting the customer service in house is part of that something.
I'm as sad as anyone to see the CSRs go, but a game that looses money won't be around long.
